  1. First off..ditch the chiltons and find a set of FSMs ..much more informative. I cant help ya on finding a ACV The only code I ever threw was a 22 ( knock sensor) and that was cause I knocked the connector off. You know where your O2? Also..I havent been following much..but does the car run and what exactly is it doing?
  2. 24= By Pass Air Control Valve 32 =O2 sensor Just pulled it out of my FSM...and I understand your pain.. I work on my XT6 by myself too.
  3. Since it is expected of me to drool over lifted wagons:lol: I have to do it... Sweet!!!!!!!:slobber::slobber::slobber::slobber::slobber::slobber: Looks like ya'll had a great time..and I just love the lifted wagons...so pretty:slobber:
  4. HEY!!!!! I was finally able to get one before it was snaked:grin: My 83 GL-10 coupe..so there:-p:Flame: And someday I ill have one badazz lifted wagon. But for now 3 is all my husband will allow ( and he wasnt happy about the third)
  5. I have found some special people here on this board...They have come through in more ways then just help with my cars or parts..but emotionally. Since I dont have any family..I found some here..I have friends here that I feel so strongly for that they have become family..And I love them dearly and would go to the end of the earth for.( You know who you are) I am also a female in a mans world loving these cars..and working on them..here I am an equal..treated as such.
  6. I said it on the XT board and I will say it here..Look for a crack in the snorkle..they are prone to it and it can cause this issue..been there.. done that.. got the T shirt. Dont just look at it either..you will have to flex it a bit to see it. I didnt discover mine till I actually removed it.
  7. I love reading good reports on the redesign..especially the looks.. I love my 2.5i ..do I wish it was the STi..you betcha!!! Love the line "it went like good gobs of silly"
  8. I had a very similar issue with my stock XT6... Mine was caused by a faulty coil...But other things to check..You did make sure the timing didnt jump? I would double check to make sure its right on. Dang it i can't remember right now ..but there is something about the timing marks on the flywheel and if you use the Chiltons or Haynes their instructions arent right. Also after re reading..did you take into consideration the fuel system..seeing that you upgraded the injectors etc. Check to make sure you are getting the right fuel pressure
  9. Gary...are you going by the stock guage or do you have an aftermarket in it> Just wondering cause I went through so much with mine and it turned out to be just a faulty guage. Huck zapped it with his lazer thermometer and showed the car to be running at the right temps to even alittle cool. I know I have but havent instyalled yet..and aftermarket in mine for my own piece of mind. Just re read post..I would zap it with a lazer and see what its running at. With everything you have swapped out ..if it is truley running hot that only leaves the radiator pretty much
  10. :slobber::slobber: new parts:slobber::slobber: Bottle the smell of the new clutch and send it to me:grin: Actually I am getting ready to go put a new part on the Imppy and also a new part on Rocky. New parts rule!! Almost as good as Grits!!
  11. Me Too!!!! Our Little Jess....she is growing up so fast * SNIFF SNIFF* So spill the beans..what parts did you get girl????
  12. Those are for bugs and rocks..deflects them over the roof of the car and keeps the rocks from chipping the paint on the nose of the car.
  13. Lets see: moosens leakingoil hocrest subeman90 jeffast moodybluser huck crazyhorse Turbone ( thats my Daddy:grin:) hatchsub wagonsonly 1986bratman nipper subyrally Seahag The Whirlys Andy backwoodboy darlingchip 75Subie themoneypit nkx I know there is alot more ..I am just having a brain fart between the different boards
  14. What crazyhorse said...just come on out...Last year we had his Lego and another member was there in an Imp..plus a Mazda I think...I dont know if I will have Rocky there this year but if i do go I will either have him or Holly. And BTW I am getting a camp sight which is big enough to put 10 tents on..And I am willing to share
  15. I parted ways with a very very much so loved ( pretty well known here on the boards too) Loyale wagon..very recently.. I gave him to people who I trust fully and I knew were going to give him a great home.I felt bad when he gave them some grief too. I still love that car..always will...but I moved to a 2008 Impreza 5 door..and I adore her too..I dont feel as bad I guess cause the Loyale( Bucky) is in the best hands possible.
  16. Oh!! Its not coming back till spring...I am in no hurry for it...but I also dont want it to be a burdun on Rob who is graciously storing it for me. I am actually going ahead and registering it and am going to send him the plates that way if its services are needed ...it can be used. This car isnt even allowed to come cross country Auto-Shipper till the snow is gone. No-one really knows how much this coupe will be babied..Antique Plates...Garaged..It wont meet the fate of so many East Coast cars...I love these coupe too much to see another one destroyed. I should have never parted ways with my 82 GLF..I could only imagine how it would have been now if I had kept it..Look at what I did to the XT6 and that was way further gone. I want it..I want to see it and touch it..but I also want whats best for it...and that is it staying where it is now. And I am done after this..No more...No lifted wagon until the XT6 finally dies. I wont become one of these people who keep buying and not doing anything with them. These will all have a purpose: Hollister...Daily Driver Long haul queen. Rocky ..fun toy play car and will drive once a week to help keep some miles off of Holly The Coupe...my treasured show car that I have always dreamed about
  17.:banana::clap::banana::banana: That makes me feel good...cause I WAS feeling bad that he was acting up on you:(. Tell Buck that I still love him but he is supposed to behave for you from now on. And hopefully I will get to see him soon ( Bucky is such a good old boy)
  18. Actually.. Thank You for the offer...But someone else wants to drive it across country for me..and may go that route.
  19. Just a quick update..The coupe has been picked up from its PO and is now with Turbone for safe keeping till it can come this way
  20. Neo..when I drove her to FL..I couldnt believe how comfortable she was...no fatique what-so-ever.And I drove her non-stop for 14 hours. I think too many are just being close minded about the new design..they need to go out and actaully drive one before they make up thier minds.I hated them at first ..until I saw one in person and then drove it..I wouldnt have put myself $21K in debt if I didnt like it. And Thanks Neo
  21. The EJ22 is actually a better engine than the EJ25..has fewer issues..The 2.5s are head gasket nightmares..Also the older ( 96 and older) EJ22s are non-interfernece motors..I huge Plus to the home mechanic.
  22. I dont know if you want to call it a wagon or not...and I know most of you will think she is ugly but..I dont really give a flyin rats rear: Hollister. ( Holly for short) I find her to be absolutely an amazing car..well designed and comfortable....and contrary to popular belief..Beautiful.
  23. Your right that Starbucks is expensive...But at least you got yourself a dependable one;)
  24. And here I thought Jess was swapping to a cheap fuel alternative...Grits:lol: And for the backfiring??? Doesnt the owners manul say to keep a lighter handy to engage the "boost"??
