I have been in contact with Rob on his cross country trek to the Dragon Meet...left this morning..and after about an hour had the dreaded air suspension failure:eek: ..about a half hour later he had it fixed and was back on his way.. Just got a text message saying he is in Idaho and the car is running great!( as of 5:30 EST). Updates when recieved

I think I figured BDG out...he is some kind of Cult evangelist or something..and he goes from forum to forum spreading the gospel of the EA82 3 main bearing..trying to get everyone to join his cult. I mean ..common..we all love our Subarus..but this guy preaches too much.. I would actually LOVE to understand what motivates him...

I hate my XT6 with Every little peice of my Soul
Bucky92 replied to Bucky92's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I think mine has to be lighter...due to missing metal from the rust:eek: I was under him yesterday doing a spot check on the frame rails...ewwww..need to do something soon -
There is a video floating around somewhere of a Loyale wagon with the STi stuff shoehorned into it

I also have to say..you do know we are talking about 20+ year old cars with well in the upwards of 200K miles on them..I was talking to somene the other day while working on my XT6 in PA .and he kept bragging about his chevy..sure it has 200+ miles on it..but it was on its second motor so it doesnt count...when I mentioned my Loyale and my Imp and the mileage (203K and 226K) and when I said "original" mileage he kinda shut up. Once I replace the axles and get tires for my Loyale..and put a new timing belt ( she is so due) and patch the gas tank..I would drive either one of those 2 cars cross country without a second thought ( WCSS10! ) I would even drive my Imp down to Honduras to have Loyale 2.7 Turbo do the bodywork on the rear quarters:grin: :-p

Experience with Sea Foam?
Bucky92 replied to nathan.chase's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I completely sware by Seafoam.. I have never done the vac line trick yet..just some in the gas tank and some in the oil..Works wonders if you ask me...after running my Loyale with it for its TOD .. I have been told I have one of the queitest running EA82s around...if it wasnt for an exhaust leak you wouldnt hear him at all..OH and thats a car with over 200K on it. I use it in my XT6 as preventative maintenance since my motor has less then 30K on it. If you read through the threads about Seafoam..TOD.etc you will see the use of that along with MMO and also ATF ( OH! this is directed towards the oil leak issue). These car leak..plain and simple...I had my EA82 resealed and 6 months later it was leaking again..not as bad though..It keeps the underside of the car from rusting;) . Dont let that detur you from adding it to the oil..I would rather have to add a quart once a month then listen to TOD.. -

How many times have I told you...when are we going to work on Shel...I am there or I am square..you know that. Maybe next year Rockys frame will be fixed and he will be sporting the same paint..just done professionally. And Huck... I want a ride in Frankenwedge too!!! -
yea yea yea:rolleyes: .. I keep trying to make him go away but he wont go...Dont have a clue as to why he stays..but he does. On another note..i just drained Rocks cooling system ( was running straight water since his little blow out..flushed it with the hose..added one can and a quarter ( of an old can) of waterwetter..and 50/50...burped him took him for a spin..seems happily cool with his new Tstat and all. But I sware he was laughing at me...I could tell..cause everytime I would try to reach under to put the drain plug back in ..he would drip ..in my eye..on my face..in my mouth..Little bas$#%d car! Starting to pack him up..right after I call in the chinese food order

And some even from other countries..Loyale 2.7 Turbo..he is my favorite body guy from Honduras..does amazing work with fiberglass and paint...Joost from Holland..another who helped me paint my XT6...just too many great people.. Also on this board..even the women are treated as highly as the men..Us girls get respect here..unlike other boards
