Wanted Gen 2 Brat decals
Thanks for the tips gents. Good idea to direct message 'pooparu' and I'll check out the Oz folks as well. I'm hitting my 20yr anniversary with my brat this fall and treating her to overdue body work and paint.

Wanted Gen 2 Brat decals
Years ago there was a forum member that made and sold Brat decals, and until recently there was a seller on ebay out of Portland that had them for sale. Can anyone put me in touch with the member/seller of Brat decals? I've searched the forums and it looks like 'pooparu' used to make and sell decals but it looks like he hasn't been active since 2019. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Taylor

Rear disc conversion
Thanks for the response and the provided link, that is great resource and has the info. I was looking for. "Any Subaru RX, XT Turbo, GL-10 Turbo (both wagon and sedan) will have rear disk brakes."

Rear disc conversion
I'm hoping to upgrade to rear discs on my 87' brat, and have been reading old threads on the parts that are required to make the swap. I've been searching but I haven't found a list of the years/models of subaru with rear discs that will work on the brat. So far as I can tell I need to find an 80's 4wd turbo donor car like a gl-10 in order to get the right parts. Does that sound right to those who have done the swap? Thanks, any info would be appreciated.

EA81 Wagon Speakers
I too am interested in a modern stereo option for my ea81, 1987 Brat. I would like to make the stock stereo compatible with my ipod and think I have found a solution. Here is the link for a wired fm modulator, http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/howToGetItTab.do?c=1&zip=21201&oid=80974#tabs radioshack sells an rca to 1/8 adapter to complete the setup. That said, is the stock am/fm setup cabable of having new speakers wired to it that aren't common ground?

EA81 Air Conditioning install help
I have to do an a/c swap in my EA81 87' brat, I have the parts, but no time. I have been saving pics of peoples brat engines when they put them on ebay and other places on the net. I'll email them to you, also in the haynes manual there is a good pic of all the a/c components (page 87). Good Luck.

Brat Located, Western Washington, need price opinion
I would pass, keep your eyes open for a better deal. I paid 2700 for a Brat w/ 102k and no rust.

Rust Proofing and POR-15
I think I am going to go with a POR 15 undercoat and a herculiner/rhino liner type product over the top. Before you buy POR-15 check ebay there is a por-15 dealer that sells the stuff for the same price per quart as the por15 website but offers free shipping, which will save you about ten bucks.

Rust Proofing and POR-15
Thanks for all the tips, I wouldn't have thought to try the access panels in the bed that is a good idea. An under liner/extend comination sounds like a good way to go. I found this link while searching, don't know if the problem/solution exists on other models. . . http://www.subarubrat.com/wheelwell.htm but it looks helpful.

Rust Proofing and POR-15
that would definately be a cheaper way to go, is the stuff from wal-mart like a rhino-liner type product. Do those types of products work well on the underside of vehicles?

Rust Proofing and POR-15
I have been doing some reading on different threads and it seems that people are impressed with POR-15 rust proofing. I would like to keep my Brat as rust free as possible so I was thinking of picking some up and applying it to the wheel wells, floor panels, and gas tank. Can anyone suggest other places that will need some rust proofing protection, or places that I should be care not to get any on. Thanks TMB

Pristine 1987 Brat
My Brat finally arrived today after three weeks of waiting the anticipation was almost too much. She is in much better condition than I tought, original paint is in great shape, interior is amazing-no dashboard cracks, two small tears in driver seat but thats it, best part is I haven't been able to find a spot of rust yet, has 102,600 miles on it and drives very well. Looking forward to exploring the east coast a little, anyone know a subie mechanic in Maryland?
