Can you put non turbo heads on a turbo motor? this would on a EA81T, car in question has cracked heads. I have several ea81 motors laying around mostly solid lifter ones but no turbos. If it works which would be better solid or hydro?

Yes and thank you so much for that, I've done a tranny flush to it and it seems to be working okay, slips a little still when cold, also added H-alloys to it. Last thing needed to make it a safe driver is a pair of ball joints up front. Doesn't every one want a subie for every day of the week ?

hey I 've got a set of 4 spoke alloys like what is on my t-coupe if your interested in dressing the wagon up.

looks like a nice t-wagon, auto? if so there could be tranny issues too if it couldn't move up a trailer very well. These are notarious tranny burners, remember what you brought up to me? Ditto on the tune up, seems like that just makes good piece of mind whenever you pick up a twenty year old car that you know nothing about. plugged fuel filters should be checked too.

Ditto on the 180, as I have experienced this exact problem. Get a pin punch or a screwdriver that fits the size, make it go all the way through before attempting to install roll pin.

would this being bad create a issue of "no heat" or would it be a simple issue of a stuck open thermostat.

That would be an EA-81 style. It's identical to my Brats brush gaurd.

I want to thank Blownbimer and TurboXT (Eric and Rick) for their Loyalty to the Subaru. They drove all the way up from Denver to swap me an auto tranny for my kids T-Coupe. It was to my benefit that they did this, TurboXT already had a tranny for his swap project and Blownbimer drove out of his way with TurboXT just because I couldn't meet up with him in Loveland. Thanks to both of you.

cant say I want to go to any yards but what about transporting something for me. TurboXT has an auto tranny and I need to swap him a manual that I have, care to haul it?

yea its off a 760. Doesn't look that bad of an install. Nothing a torch, welder and a cut off wheel cant take care of.
