  1. I know this has been discussed, would some one line me up with a link or give me the basics, what clutch, axles and drive shaft is needed. I know i need the pedal assembly, and other obvious things. The kid took out the tranny last night on her t-coupe. oh yea, will this affect in any way the digi dash? strange ? just curios.
  2. I got the ride thing taken care of last night but I believe she will be needing transportation back possibly to Washington. I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone else yet to get the car back in drivable condition or even look to see what actually is the problem. By the way the dogs are cool, I was always a little timid around pitbulls but these ones were cool! Freindly little(big) guys.
  3. well its too bad I'm at work over in Laramie we could do lunch about now.
  4. Looks like all you need is a big slide hammer, buy it back from insurance or settle to keep the car. It is defintely an easy fixer.
  5. Hey Dave, good to hear from ya. Sorry I couldn't help ya on the parts. Did you get it running then? Does the brat have a good tail gate trim that you want to part with? and maybe a left taillamp too?
  6. doing that what am I looking for? I'm a body man not a mechanic.
  7. true, mine alone has seen three different swaps. Lets assume this is the original motor, now what do you think? 84 wagon 4wd 4spd solid? or hydro?
  8. so an 84 wagon could be solid? according to your info?
  9. Sorry for not taking the time to do a search. What years did they switch from solid to hydraulic lifter motors on the EA81? Looking at an 84 wagon and the tell/tale hydo sticker is not apparent but my 84 brat had hydro lifter motor? I could use this engine but dont necessarily want it if a solid lifter one. Input pleae or a link for those with time to search.
  10. Well the good thing is Bratman, that I'm the one thats going to be driving the t-coupe now. We got our daughter a different car, so I'll be watching the gauge especially now that my new digidash from Turbone is working. It sound like for now I might be ok since I live in a winter climate, I will be looking into electric before long though, I like to keep the HP gain if there is any and then I'll just run a switch when needed for the summers heat. Thanks for the input.
  11. I've been putting together my kids t-coupe after she wrecked it and found out that only turbos, EA81 that is, had fan clutches. I also read that a few of you had removed the fan clutch to gain HP or changed to electric. Well the wreck toasted the t-coupes fan clutch and I've had it on the road for only a short bit with no fan clutch and no issues. Should I just leave it where its at or should I install electric or locate a new fan clutch and put it back to the way it was.
  12. I want to air a delayed Thank you to Turbone. He sent me a digidash for my kids t-coupe after being patient until I could pull the $$ together. That was a little while ago. Well to make a story short, my kid wrecked it- I got it back- and I just finished getting it back together, the digidash sat patiently in its bubble wrap until tonight, my kid had moved out of state before the dash arrived. I'm impressed and glad to say the digidash is performing well, Thank you Turbone!
  13. I work in Laramie which is 7200ft, I live in Cheyenne which is 6400ft during my commute I have to cross the summit which is 8600ft!! you do the math!
  14. almost everyday on my way to work which is up hill both ways, my brat rides at 5000-5500 for thirty miles until I reach the summit, then I can finally shift in to 4th gear. For stock motor thats winding it up for a ways, the brat takes it without a problem.
  15. what are ya doin for the back seat? I've got a complete set of the checkered seats but noticed that a sedan seat is different than the wagon because of the fold down part.
  16. 3M has several products that work. If you haven't removed the vinyl stripe or graphic yet there is a aerosol they make that will lift the graphic off then use their general pupose adhesive remover, if you've already peeled off the items in question just use the adhesive remover. I'm not sure of any #'s but if you stop by your local Bodyshop paint supply store they should direct you to a product that works. Maybe 10-15 bucks max for any
  17. curious why the EA81 instead of EA82 reliability? Hmm. Thats a pretty nice wagon, I saw it at Chef Tims before you picked it up. Good luck.
  18. yea I'll wait but I need to leave about 5:00 or so.
  19. well depending on the glass it may be easier to swap hatch then re-attach spoiler. Is there a full metal frame around the glass or just a little trim piece?
  20. Did I hear you are going to pay some one to put glass in? What are you thinkin? Give me a call. Remember I know all about these things. We can work it out on my H/G job I want done.
  21. well unfortunately no.heres where my trip came from. As stated in other post my position is in a collision / refinishing program. Well during that same time as SEMA there was also NACE which is a large autobody convention. The school I work for had two booths set up at each event NACE/SEMA unfortunately I had to work the entire time at the Nace convention. Although I was allowed to visit the SEMA show for half an afternoon. This was by no means enough time to look at even a tenth of the SEMA show. So the person I went with and I literlally speed walked through as much as possible with the time allowed. I also figured as I didn't have a digital, only a cheap throw away, what cars should or shouldn't take pictures of. Well I decided none because the shere amount of stuff that was there I didn't want to take some and runout and then get mad when I saw something else and had no pictures left. Soooo Sorry for no pics. If I get to go next year, which I most likely will I hope to have a digital by then.
