  1. That sounds good Phil, I think we need to pin a date down though too. Will January 24th at Cicis pizza or somewhere else work?? I got my car finished and running (for a while) so I am flexible. Rick
  2. Cool, What about January 17th for the meet?? And any suggestions on a place to meet?? I got the tranny in my car today, and just need to throw the rest of it together tomorrow, and I'll be ready to rock! With my new exhaust and clutch, and I got a wing to put on it and a homemade hood scoop. It should look pretty neat as all of it matches the lines of the car. Then I can hunt some Hondas... Scrreeeeeecccchhhhhhh > 5000rpm, pssssssst, chirp>5000rpm, psssssst, etc. Rick
  3. So sometime in January then, ok.....and a pizza place or bar sounds good, just need to get my car running soon. Maybe we can just meet up for lunch or something here pretty soon, and the figure out a meet date and place...sound good?? What date will work for all of you guys that want to go?? Shawn, I'm almost done, thanks again man! Let me know what you think. Rick
  4. Hi, I wanted to know if anyone would want to meet up maybe after Christmas or something maybe when it's snowing and spin some doughnuts in a parking lot somewhere. I can't drive my car quite yet, but it should be done in a week or two. Then I'll be ready to rock! Let me know if you are interested in meeting up! That is All. Thanks Rick
  5. I see. I kinda have a press designed that I can make, but need to see the gear assembly before I can make it....if not maybe I can just take the whole gear set somewhere, and have them put the new synchro in for me. Thanks Rick
  6. Thanks Shawn, What do you need a press for? To get the gears off, right? What kind of press?? Thanks Rick
  7. Ross: That's kinda what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. I am going to get some diagrams from the dealer, and that should help me out a lot. Pat: Thanks, I'm glad you got that out of the way! Ha! Thanks, anymore replys are VERY helpful!!!!!!!! Rick
  8. Ok, call me Crazy if you will, but I am going to attempt to open the manual 5 speed transmission from my 86' XT turbo, to replace the 2nd gear syncro, and the axle shaft seals. My question is, is there anything I need to know before I crack this baby open (aside from remember how everything goes back together)? Stuff like if I open it, something will fall out, break, etc. And, has anyone else done this succesfully before??? Just wanted to know before I open it and make a fool out of myslef, or end up having to spend MORE money. Thanks Rick
  9. Eh, er, um............ It wasn't me? lol I still am coughing up dust from a dust cloud that entered my car.....from a power slide that went wrong. Sure was great fun though. Rick
  10. Thanks for taking the pics man! I sure had fun, and had to clean my car again!! (dust) lol There sure were some nice cars there. Thanks Rick
