i plan to show up, but i'll be coming from spokane, and it's twice as long to go thru seattle first.. I'm going to go down 395 (i think) and cut under yakima. -
you're going to end up paying for those regardless; they can get pretty spendy especially in good shape! good luck though.

so if i run EA82 coilovers on the rear of my brat, it is redundant with the torsion bars. can you remove the torsion bars and run without them? or just set them to do as little as possible?

you could lift it now and put the bigger wheels/tires on after you get there. -

is it safe to saw this off?
baccaruda replied to avatar382's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
that's the end of the axle, not the wheel bearing. i don't know that it would hurt anything to grind it down as long as you could get the castle nut off, but it would probably ruin any warrantee on that axle. -

EA82 Power Steering rack into EA81....
baccaruda replied to GeneralDisorder's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
i want to know if it'll fit too. i have an xt ps rack and if it'll go into my brat, it will, when i add power steering. good luck gd. -
your car will also make a lot more noise going over bumps as the rest of the car absorbs the shock when the shock absorbers don't.
-
my brat has the bracket for it snapped off of the clutch fork. see if you have a cable hanging around there with nothing to do like me no way am i taking the whole car apart just for that!

swapping pully system
baccaruda replied to subaru_styles's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
why are you swapping pulleys? i'm not clear on it. are you adding a spider intake or a whole XT engine? you can use the water pump timing marker with either style... -
maybe if you got custom wheel bearings or hybrid axles?
