  1. you need a center console from an EA81 turbo model; it'll fit right in and you could j-rig the lock. not very big though.
  2. if you can reference a picture of the style of headlights you have, that would be best.
  3. i have a friend looking for an inexpensive EA81 wagon! does that have any rust?
  4. cool setup, shean.. are you going to turn those rotors? are you able to get rear disc calipers that haven't had the soft lines cut yet? might make it easier for more people to do rear disc swaps...
  5. Hi Linda, you're welcome. I had good results getting a little more $ when someone totalled a car of mine a while ago by doing that stuff. I've half a mind to start casually tracking that info for my brat just in case. I'm sure that you will be able to find another nice XT through the resources and people on this board. good luck!
  6. not if I outbid you for it! *cracks knuckles and synchronizes watch with ebay*
  7. hello! you have just earned the envy of all brat lovers here with such a great deal what's wrong with each?
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2479500801&category=50454 I'm going to contact this guy and get more info; i'll report back in this thread.
  9. i got 4 14" alloys and a 14" steel spare from pull n save for $60 plus tax. anyone want to trade my 14" steel for a 14" alloy?
  10. i have one of those fake exhaust tips on the side of my computer tower, it adds 100mb/ram and 15 hp!
  11. i pay about $100 for full coverage on my brat. After the bank loan for it's paid off, I might drop collision coverage because the deductible could be better spent at the JY, but that might be a better strategy with anything-BUT-a-brat... don't know. Everyone is required to have liability, but I'd consider towing and underinsured motorist coverage must-haves as well. towing coverage is usually very cheap and underinsured motorist coverage is often its own reward.. yeah, you can sue someone who doesn't have insurance, but if they don't have it because they're broke, then what are you going to sue them for?
  12. idling in gear while stopped? but not in neutral.. i guess throwout bearing. maybe a throwout bearing clip.. less $, same amount of work to fix check your trans gear oil too, like subiemech said. maybe you'll luck out on the cheap fix.
  13. glad you're OK... go over COMPLETED AUCTIONS in ebay, see if there's any good XT's that have sold recently. register on xt6.org 's forum, ask for details of sales. go thru the local papers and car-for-sale publications. you want verifiable records of what these cars have sold for. also good are cars for sale that haven't sold yet, but actual final sale price is the best for you to collect. the closer to where you live the better. if you've done any maintenance to your car, and the work/parts are under warrantee, that should be reflected in what you're offered for your car. If you can't find any for sale near you (to replace yours) then tell the insurance company that you expect them to pay for transporting your next XT. insurance companies fight dirty so take off your gloves! and good luck.
  14. nice job, Will. you know, i just realized that what makes that car look so good lowered (IMO) is the body colored bumpers. nice and smooth.
  15. tell her you've been looking around and that "honey, it would be easier to find a WRX engine for your bug than one of these slower older ones, there's not very many of them left".. see where that gets you
  16. I got some 14" Peugeot alloys at the JY today! I'll be saving them for my Brat. The lugs were so trashed that only 4 of them were worth saving. Instead of looking for more old peugeot lugs... what size tuner lugs do I need to look for for these? thanks
  17. looks good; would look better if they weren't gold IMO.
