  1. I really liked the ORV park from 2 years ago; didn't care for Hood River because of the lack of shade. I'd vote for something in southern WA to make it easier for people coming from OR and CA.
  2. Hi there, new guy. This stuff has all been covered a few times. I don't have time to give you a review of it now since I'm at work and only have a minute. I suggest that you run a couple of searches in this Retrofitting forum for EJ22 Swap and Tran* swap. The star will "wildcard" so that you will get Trans, Tranny, Transmission, and some other hits. Keep in mind that the search does not work with fewer than 4 characters. Good luck!
  3. I put AWD XT6 control arms in the stock crossmember for my GL10 wagon and had to enlarge the bolt holes.
  4. that video makes me PRAY that my car never gets stolen.
  5. the carbonation in the beer lifted the grease out of the upholstery cloth
  6. it's not really "the" slant radio console. notice that the radio console and the shifter surround console are one piece. That's how the FWD cars' consoles were. The 4WD consoles were 2pc, probably so they could be 4WD 4sp or 4WD 3AT and use the same radio console... why that was important I don't know. good luck with the car!
  7. They're nuts, not bolts. They're either 12mm or 14mm (outer diameter). On an EA82 you can use the same nuts on the exhaust studs as on the motor mounts' studs and the transmission mounts' studs. They may have a lockwasher involved as well, and the nuts have a flange on the contact side as opposed to being symetrical nuts.

  9. Is it possible to unsticky this thread and maybe lock it?? thanks!!
  10. The fundraiser is now closed! Details HERE in the original thread in the for sale section!
  11. Because they're in a Subaru! Keep this on topic by discussing possible wear to the suspension, 2WD vs 4WD for camel ferrying, and by trading post-camel transportation methods of cleaning the interior
  12. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooo sorry to hear of your troubles; out of good conscience I'll buy it back for $50 No, just the one injector is an EA82T. It was too cold outside and too much of a pain to change all 4. Looks like that's your next move though.. I honestly can't remember which injector it was that I changed.. think it was on the passenger side but not sure.
  13. Where in Scotland are you? My brother's in Ayr (he's not a car guy though)..
  14. Put the LSD center chunk in the 3.9 case with the 3.9 ring gear and set it up. This will leave you with the necessary parts to make a 3.7 open diff.. for what it's worth
  15. Not a bad deal if the rest of the car comes with it!
  16. Yeah, I've seen some really corroded connections on the horns themselves. I'm reminded of a practical joke I've yet to play on someone.. it involves wiring the horn into the brake light switch on the pedal :banana:
  17. OK, thanks to everyone! I'm taking down the order page tomorrow (Sunday the 1st of March) so maybe a couple more last-minute orders can crawl in. So far it looks like this effort pulled in around $120, maybe it'll hit $150 after shipping and printing are taken care of and I can see how much "extra" there is. I'm also going to see about all shirt buyers getting credit for their individual donations; fair is fair. cheers everyone!
  18. I think Chuck would probably kill us all if I misappropriated his image
  19. an 83 GL wagon has a 3.9 ratio. The 3.9 gear can be put on that LSD to make it a 3.9. To make it a 4.11 or 4.44, the center section has to be modified to accept the larger bolts that the 4.11 and 4.44 gear require.
  20. That would be awesome; there's generic donation info on this page. I happen to be such a single guy without any real objections to this design.. I'll also offer that I didn't design it; it's been floating around the internet and I just made a production-quality version for this project (my version actually ADDED the "clothing"). I agree that it's a little lowbrow and not for all people or all places, and as far as objectification of women is concerned, this just doesn't cross that line for me. Everyone's got the right to their own opinion, of course. also, this effort is up to $75 donated as of this morning
  21. So far the donations add up to $70! I'd love to see this effort break $100.. BUMP!
  22. Of course you didn't. That's why you haven't bought a Subaru Girl T-Shirt yet. (click that!) I know it's stickied in the For Sale forum but that's not good enough for me. I was hoping to raise at least $8548512685 for the USMB but so far only a select few fine individuals have bought shirts. I think so far we've raised $0.85 for the board, and as the donation is at LEAST $5 per shirt, I have no idea how the amount is so little.. but the point is, you slackers need to pick up the slack and stop slacking and get a new T-shirt! Look, that shirt you're wearing now has holes in the armpits and Cheeto-beer-motor oil stains all over it. You know what you have to do. Here's the basics: I'm going to amass orders until the end of the month and then have the shirts printed and shipped. Money will be donated to the USMB at that time to the tune of $5 per shirt. Any money left over after dealing with shipping and packaging and such will also be donated. None for me, all for USMB. Got that? Good. Here's one that I've had for a while, to give you an idea of how brain-explodingly awesome these are: They come in several flavors like Army Drab, Asphalt Gray, Black, Navy Blue, and Olive Green, and the ink can be silver, black, white, or gold (no, you can't get black ink on a black shirt, genius). LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!11
