  1. I pulled my A/C out of my 92 Loyale and installed matched belts. It seems from other threads that everything should be good to go but I wanted to double check that no other mods need to be done. I am about to do a long drive and wanted to be 100% sure so sorry for the repost if the answer is out there. I also just finished doing (having) all the brakes (done) so it hasn't really been driven since pulling the A/C. That being said, I have most of the parts of an A/C system available to anyone in Vancouver, BC. The only part missing is the radiator but I'm sure it won't be hard to spot the homeless person walking around with it.
  2. I drive a 92 Loyale wagon (standard, 4wd) and my brother has a 96 legacy wagon that he is planning on having towed off. Are there any parts that are worth taking for my Loyale? I know a lot of stuff isn't compatible but is there anything worth pulling? Thanks.
  3. Thanks for all the awesome replies guys. @rdweninger. I doubt anyone is sledding but you could probably find snow if you wanted. I've been on the coast since April though. I will go through the steps as you guys suggested an see whats up. To add to the fun my car got a good shudder after a garage put in a rename cv axle. Figured it was the axle. Turns out it was my front drivers caliper seizing on the highway. Yay
  4. thanks guys. Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned I'm at the real Vancouver...Canada Lordco has a remanufactured MC for $60. Cardone, I believe. I can't find some old threads on remanned MCs. Good or bad?
  5. 1992 Subaru Loyale My left front calliper seized today while driving through Vancouver. I am here intermittently for the next month. Does anyone have a parts car around these parts? I could use a new calliper and master cylinder. Thanks, Brian
  6. Hi guys. I redid all my brakes a year ago and bled the lines (first timer) and my brakes came out almost non-existent. Pedal to the floor and no action. The garage rebled my brakes and it was much better but they weren't terribly strong. Before me changing them, the pedal would not got to the floor like this (the brakes were worn badly but pedal travel and strength was normal). A year later of having quirky brakes that I have managed fine, another garage tells me the master cylinder is gone. The brakes are definitely worse now. 1st pump typically gets nothing, second pump is fine. Pedal travels to the floor the first time and the second time when it engages, the pedal travel seems right. The garage says he can't find a master cylinder. A lot of chatter on here says the MC hardly goes. Any thoughts? Thanks
  7. thanks guys. I know the basic rules of 4wd but as I said I don't ever engage it on dry pavement. I was just shocked at the abruptness of it.
  8. I haven't driven my 92 loyale in 4wd in 10 months other than a block or two (didn't drive it altogether for 9 months) and now I have noticed some issues with the 4wd. When reversing in 4wd the car is quite jerky and actually caused me to stall. It felt almost like something was locking up or not allowing the car to roll smooth. To me, it felt like it was from the front end. In further testing, turning in very small circles in 4wd caused some skidding of the rear. Note that it was on dry pavement and I was only testing things out. Is this happening because of the dry conditions and the 4wd? I don't really drive with 4x except in the snow so I am wondering if I just never had it do that before? Once driving in 2nd, and faster, there have been no questionable noises/ responses in 4x. Any thoughts? Thanks. Clueless and concerned
  9. Hi Bill,

I am looking at lifting my 92 loyale with your 2" kit. Would you ship to Golden, British Columbia, Canada? And to beat a dead horse...As a daily driver, would I have to consider anything else with the lift? It sounds like CV stress is minimal but I can't tell how much people drive their lifted cars. Feel free to email me. snake88eyes@hotmail.com

    Thanks,

    Brian

  10. Hey,

I'm living in golden, Bc but originally hail from Agassiz. I he's out the coast a few times a year. I've got a 92 loyale that I am looking into making a few mods to. Small lift and bigger tires being the first thought. Do you have any leads on parts/ rims to make this happen out in the valley?

I am also parting out a 93 loyale if you need anything.

I haven't noticed too many Canadians, especially Fraser valley, on these boards but I'm new here.

  11. I'm brand new here and fairly lost here. I've tried search bar but I don't know what I am looking for. Rather than asking for new info can people post links to useful threads? I've got a 92 loyale wagon, manual, 4wd. I am looking for info for redrilling hubs for 6 bolt, specifically on what to do with the rear hubs. Also, rear disc conversions and what is needed. Thirdly, looking to buy a 2" lift. Flame away if needed, but please provide links when doing so. Thanks
