  1. I'm going to assume you have a standard...but a leaking vacuum modulator on the Auto Trans can cause this...Granted mine only did it when i would turn, it sounds like your does it quite a lot more
  2. Hence why I would never buy a new american car...
  3. I mobil 1 5w30 in winter...but in summer i run 15w50...All mobil 1 full synthetic and mobil filter...seems to be doing very well. Granted any oil as long as it is SAE is fine if you CHANGE IT!!!
  4. i would do that...but it appears to be damaged (The bolt)
  5. its the voltage regulator...just change the alt. I literally had this exact thing just happen to me a few weeks ago
  6. This one has got me annoyed to start this off... I CANNOT:banghead: find anything online at local stores or anything. Granted running one belt seems to not be an issue but i'd feel better with both as was intended. Simply, where do I find this pulley and the hardware associated with it. (I.E. Everything but the actual bracket) Thanks!!!!
  7. Where does one find a hitch for a loyale....and how do you (did) you put one one....THANKS!!!
  8. I have to disagree with the filter part...Rust sediment will find its way thru anything. I found this out with my motorcycle. Had technically 2 filters (petcock and inline charcoal) and my carbs got gummed up pretty quick.
  9. Ya i think i will try to just align it...car is from NC...no rust at all!
  10. I've been thinking about replacing them. Was it hard to do? I would imagine that'd fix the alignment i mean they are 21 years old after all.
  11. Thanks guys...i knew they were adjustable..i also don't want someone attempting to correct it and not know what they're doing... Feel like i should call them and see if they could do it, but idk.
  12. 92 Loyale 2wd wagon Took it to get aligned at a reputable shop and they of course did front end but the rear end (which i've read is adjustable but isn't really kinda sorta:slobber:) has .40 on the driver side and .50 on the pass. (They said it was non-adjustable) of inside toe (front of rear wheels pointing in) Camber is -0.7 and -0.4 respectively...still with me? My question is...could the wrong strut cause the rear end to be too high and create this toe. Seems like they are both pretty close in toe and the rear struts are fairly new but non-adjustable like the OEM ones. My hunch is the negative camber would explain the higher ride height. Rear end feels stiff as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated:-p
  13. I've done this same setup a few times...its pretty comfortable...I fold up back seat bottom...and then fold down the seat backs...Makes it flatter:D
  14. This thread has really taken off.... Here is my question:drunk: If Subaru goes against a 5w30 for highway use than why is 10w30 acceptable...Atleast per not being included in that. Second i only run mobil one synthetic. Mentioned was using 0w30...Mobil makes an advance fuel econ oil 0w30...granted i'd only use it in the winter unless i had no issue in the summer (which i will) but would this be acceptable? And lastly should colder temps really affect the "warmed up" performance of the oil? when i used 40 and 50 weights i would get lifter noise (unless i drove it hard)...but is it a seperate issue or the oil's issue? 10w30 DOES NOT produce said noises:o
  15. Hehe:clap: As much as i hate to say it, its gonna be funny when crap starts going wrong...i don't touch the cars since my stepdad who doesn't work on anything has a problem with me working on his stuff and of course my moms. I can work on anything i ain't scared:drunk:...BUT if she had gotten a subie i told her i could do basically anything on the thing in short time and cheap somewhat...Granted the KIA only has 26k miles...it'll be trouble free for sometime.
  16. Lol i enjoyed reading this...I feel like a subie spokesperson sometimes:o...Delightfully mentioning how my 92 Loyale is still running amazingly and everything works and how subies (and most other asian cars) are more reliable than most any american car:D I tried getting my mother to buy one...but she claimed they were too much...so she bought a kia soul with a dent in the door from a dealer:banghead:
  17. DO NOT GET THE FRAM ONE...well atleast the one i got did not work at ALL....Do yourself a favor and get OEM on the modulator. The OEM one has no adjustment...The Fram one has a screw adjustment.
  18. I put one in from advanced...I'm thinking its wrong i wasn't paying attention and from now only OEM parts. Granted i bought the best one from a good brand, but i think you're all on to something because it just don't seem right...and OEM is just better. Atleast with Subies Where do your temp gauges all sit? 92 Loyale and mine is between half and nothing.
  19. I agree it is the gov't not coming up with this 0 weight crap...but basically forcing car makers to use it... To the 5yr car comment...Buying a Subaru fixes that problem:-p
  20. Actaully alot of new stuff runs on 0w20 now:eek: I can't see running a 20 wt...Even tho the tolerences are tighter on newer engines...but in all honestly how tight can they really get...Granted all the books usaully say you can run 5w30 or whatever so i think its mainly for MPG and the Gov't guidelines.
  21. Subarugenparts seems to be the best best...Theyre prices are cheaper by far and i noticed the other ones don't car loyales...some do some don't...but my best luck has been with them. Thanks for the recommendations. Just wanted to make sure i was on the right track and will check sites out again to make sure i didn't miss anything!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!
