  1. He's on the board. *Clap, Clap, Clap* Now to figure out who they are.
  2. I'll try....using some random pieces hanging around my garage. Nothing new! It'll probably be a VERY long project though. I sent my XT6 to a shop to get it done (Rallispec) before but now I'm going to try to go through the pains of doing it homemade. I don't have a load of $$$ to be spending on this. I'll be *&%$ for many months to come, I know.
  3. Yeah, I'm going to try and use it on an XT6. A picture of the air/water intercooler is on the first page of this thread (on the right hand side). It'll fail (Mr. Pessimist) but I'm going to try. I'll be playing with the AWD XT6 after I get situated with the Techworks install on the RX.
  4. This is good to know. Must keep this manufacturer in mind if I am looking for a new radiator. Thanks! Radiator - Aftermarket - 2 core - 3 core - Racing
  5. So, there's no reason to shop for the $70 a pair ones right? I mean, they are the same headgaskets we are talking about right? I just want to be sure that I (and everyone else) am on the same page as you are and understand what you are saying.
  6. I'm still twiddling my finger on the cat converter portion. I know this has been discussed but no-one stated a part number (I think). Will or anyone else, do you have a specific part number for a cat converter (2.5" BTW) that you know will fit this application? I looked at Summit Racing but I like to know what will work and what won't. Thanks!
  7. Bolt them bad boys up and do a complete installation write up on it.
  8. Don't mind me! I'm posting this picture for future reference.
  9. Just some info since people will be dealing with the Legacy turbo once the Techworks parts start coming in. This is info from the links posted earlier in this thread. http://www.mazda323performance.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2675&highlight=vf11 The VF11 comp sounds a lot like the T-bird comp? bad info? What's the VJ11 inlet dia? 10. Subarutex, I may be going with the same one as you (Apexi TT). May as well get the two for one deal and I see a ton of them on ebay. Would you mind if I PM you with any questions once I go through installing it? Trust me, it's likely I'll have some.
  11. Just checked one of my email accounts. My setup has been shipped yesterday. Scheduled to arrive on January 3rd. I promise to get a before and after dyno plot somehow before then. The dyno operator won't be in until next week (Monday) so. Either I'll do it Friday of next week or anytime the following week. Awe man....can't wait. Current mods are: K&N cone air filter, Intercooler, Garner Pulley I'll compare my stock run (with K&N cone air filter) to the intercooler/garner pulley combo and then this combo with the Techworks setup.
  12. Who else here have used these instructions to success? Which turbo timers does anyone recommend? I'm getting tired of waiting the recommended 1 minute to shut the car off as well.
  13. The turbo I am concerned about is a GT17 turbo off of a Saab. That's what I'll be using instead of the one you mentioned. I'm using it because: a) just to be different, b)The Techworks guys were really excited about that turbo and it was one of two they had left since they raced with it. It didn't dawn on me about uppipe setups until I was looking at some parts in my garage and a recent Techworks uppipe pic I saw (earlier today). I wouldn't think they'd (Techworks) would just sell a turbo without a wastegate to bleed off exhaust gas but I thought I'd ask. Sometimes vendors assume you are supposed to know these kind of things.
  14. What's with the prairie dogs running around in the 'Up' video? At first I thought you hit your head on the horn button. Hehe! Cool videos!
  15. Since the Techworks header/uppipe combo does not have a wastegate attached to it, how is boost regulated, especially when you use an upgraded turbo? Not all turbos have an internal wastegate or a wastegate attached to it. I'm confused! :-\ BTW: It's cheaper for me to ask here than call them guys. I've called them enough already. <----Cowers in fear!
  16. I'm sorry! There is nothing you can do. Intake and exhaust mods will help it breathe more/easier. A custom pulley will give it more pep. Perhaps going to a tire size one step down with less sidewall height. Good luck!
  17. Someone is a lucky dog. I'm thinking about getting a straight pipe coming from my cat converter tomorrow. I......must....wait.........got....too.....RESIST. The dang dyno operator at the shop I go to is visiting family. I wanted to get some numbers today and tomorrow before the BIG mods come.
  18. I can vouch for this. I have two of them based on advice from Gary.
  19. Lol! Guys, the EJ22 (2.2ltr Impreza like my Outback Sport) has its fuel pump mounted inside the gas tank. I know because I've changed mine. Fuel pumps like the ER27 is on the outside as stated. I had purchased an aftermarket inline (external) fuel pump from Summit Racing. It supposedely can support upwards to 500hp. Part# is MSD-2225. I have this unit on my FWD XT6 (which I was previously going to turbocharge and add nitrous. Turbocharging never came to be and my nitrous adventures ended with the tiny 185cc injectors giving me the finger. ) You can find the specs, cost and other info on the pump here: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=partdetail.asp&part=MSD%2D2225 I hope this helps....
  20. What's the little stain marks beside your car? Looks like it's dried up tranny fluid. That's too bad!
  21. Got back from picking up my XT6 from one of the dealerships here in Delaware (Newark, DE...Matt Slapp Subaru). I know the service guys there, mechanics as well as the general manager. Think that matters? I had an full engine reseal just done on one of my XT6s and noticed 30 minutes after I picked it up that it has an oil leak somewhere and coolant leak at the driver's side coolant line. Not only that, my driver's side timing cover is missing and it looks like a transmission fluid line it rubbing against my driver's side timing belt. I took this pic with my camera phone before I came here to work and emailed it to myself.
