  1. So all the Brat GLs should have a plug for power mirrors? That would be kinda nice, just have to find the power mirrors, since I have a controller switch already.
  2. Yeah I hear that salting noise , it is good keeps the idiots out of the side of me or at least in theory. That being said I don't drive my Brat when the roads are wet and salty or at least hardly ever. I drive my gas guzzling Tahoe instead, driving that a lot less now that I have my Brat though . At least I can put the Tahoe on the less driven side and make the Brat my DD. EVEN-THOUGH they wouldn't put full coverage on the Brat for me , although as long as I can avoid the STUPID I am GOOD
  3. It'll be an awesome experience for you when and if you go through with it. Do you have the support of your Mom and Dad?
  4. I like your thinking odie, gives more options for switches, I have been wondering where one would go with more.
  5. I guess I better cherish my stereo then with the CD player and all. Shoot I'm still thinking about changing the way mine is, as if I don't have enough to do, ugh.
  6. It is the stock one. Didn't do this before I changed the white plastic piece that holds the gauges. wasn't working at all prior, cause I think I fried something in the original one
  7. My EA81 on my Brat is fluctuating with its oil pressure. Goes down to almost nothing at times, then goes back up to about 3/4 on the gauge don't remember what # correlates with that. Yes there is adequate oil in the crank case too. Is this a tell tail sign of a failing oil pump?
  8. Don't know haven't ever been to where you are, we might battling for not so purtie!! Haha
  9. Ha heck of a lot closer then South Central Kansas. I wish I had the extra $$$$
  10. Oh MAN!!!! That is one sweet ride!! I'm SO SO tempted to jump on a plane and go get THAT BRAT!!!! That is an awesome price for what has been done to it, I think.
  11. Nice find! I've said it before and I'll say it again :):):)brings me tears of JOY to see another person pick up these cars!!
  12. What is the difference between the front and rear bumpers? I have a bumper and not sure which end it goes on.
  13. My 96' Outback has the seats you speak of, I no longer have said car . My .02 for said car AWESOME all the way around, one very hardy vehicle I loved it to the day I let it go.
  14. You're welcome, that is what makes this forum so awesome, helping each other find the info we need.
  15. Depends on his definition of a little work. If it drives decent and there is not much rust on the under side, I would say that is an okay price. Electrical short could be an issue, I've never been a fan of those things...can be a money pit of problems that never end. That being said, with the forum here it would probably be traceable with some effort. I had to give $4500 for mine, the PO had done a fair amount of work to it, paint job, 14" wheels, stereo, roll bar, and a few other things, so some days I feel like I gave too much, but most days I feel as though it is still worth it. I would request some more pictures before driving that far. Underside, interior, engine bay, tire tread, inside of the bed, anything else that might come to mind for you. Anybody else?
  16. Yes you are correct in your post here. This is a helpful link too. http://offroadingsubarus.com/rear_disc_conversion.html
  17. Awesome find! +1 on more people getting these cars!!!
  18. Yes, of which I'm fairly certain that I have under my dash.
