  1. I'm guessing the bar with a nut and threads is what is becoming in the way(red arrow) still not sure how that is the 4X4 selector.
  2. Having a hard time seeing what your problem is here. Maybe you can add another picture, not really seeing an issue after lifting, shouldn't really change the dinamics, mind you I have not lifted one before.
  3. Looking at getting this Brat to pull the AC parts to put on mine, then I could pull more parts for selling too.
  4. If he doesn't I will probably have this piece available once I get my AC parts swapped over, need to get the donor car though too...sadly..
  5. Hopfully this will help you out, I am hoping that sooner rather than later I will have an AC compressor installed so mine won't be looking like this that much longer.
  6. How did this work out for you? I'm looking at doing the same thing.
  7. What model and year are dealing with, manual or auto, 2wd or 4?
  8. I just have the mounts that the back rest slide up and down on, I don't have the platform that the seats rest on. If you need those back rest mounts, I am certainly game to sell them so they can go to a great home! Let me know what you want for them. Thanks
  9. Thanks, going to look at a Brat tomorrow for the possibility of parts car, for front glass and AC we'll see.
  10. Basically just padding under any sharp point, with double rubber. Yes there's a trick to that motion with the strap tool.
  11. What other models swap windshields with the Gen2 Brat? Anybody ha luck finding a new one?
  12. That's very nice, wish I had the extra $$$$, I would go jump on it, somebody here get it.
  13. I was doing this also, till I kept getting vaccum action on the boot. It was sucking the boot down, so I went back to the bands and haven't had the issue replay. Any tips with the zip ties? The OEM boots don't come with grease, they sell that seperate, they can make another $5-$8 depending on which STEALERSHIP you are close to. Don't understand how the same part from the same company can vary anywhere from $1-Whatever they feel like charging........
  14. I found one through a dealer on the East coast, https://www.subarupartsdepot.com/ I got the whole new assembly for $97 and change, they ended up having it shipped from Japan, then shipped to me, once they had it in hand it was quick to get to me. Seems to be a good buisness.
  15. I would take them to a local shop, ask if they wouldn't mind you watching what they do. Snap ring pliers, and the band tool to re and them are really the only specialty tools you need, and gloves to keep that grease off your skin. Seriously it's not that hard, might be able to get by with just rebooting the bad one, just depends how long it road that way. Subaru has the grease, not sure about the individual parts though, didn't get that far today when I was looking at the parts website.
  16. On the 97 OB I was just working on earlier today, has a yellow sticker up by the battery that said something about, (after losing power) to pushing said reset button, then if that is not present to hit the disarm button?? on the key FOB or maybe the arm button?? not sure which one cause I don't have the car to look at now. You might try one or both of those.
  17. First move is to remove the rear seat mounts and install some sort of lock box. I do a lot of campaign and will need the water proof storage. --If you're pulling the mounts out, are you wanting to keep them or would you be game to sell em? I'm in to buy them if you are willing to sell. Have the seats just need the mount. Let me know Thanks.
