Well, the way my brain has been going lately that could very well well be the case. That being said one of those should be negative should it not. This is the 86 Brat GL -
Could not get the lights in the bumper on, bunch of corrision in socket figured that was the issue. Bought a buffing wheel for the Dremel got them all clean an pretty, still no go.. Had to go buy another circuit tested since the gremlins hide my other one, got the one that tells which leg is negative, glad I couldn't find mine, turns out both legs are positive, where do I find the origin of those wires?

If the rear one is even close to that shape I'd take it, if you would be so kind as to go pull it. Shoot a price if you're interested in doing that.

Has anyone done a full key-less write up?
Dinky26 replied to CarpeNoctem's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Good to hear I at least figured it out before I fried anything. Fiddly is sure an understatement for the way my brain computes things, drives me insane some days... -
How about bumpers, any other models that'll swap with an 86 Brat?

Has anyone come up with a good solution to replacing this old rotten seals? Got to looking at my front markers last night and the sockets are all rusted up with water getting in the fixtures. Ideas? https://www.subarupartsdepot.com/parts/1986/SUBARU/Brat/GL?siteid=215079&vehicleid=45792&diagram=756047 Since they don't even list it as part here.

I started doing this about 10 months ago and had to stop cause I finally determined that I need relays for the actuators, or at least this was my conclusion as to why I couldn't get them to respond to the brain. On my 86 Brat Are there some actuators that come with relays or was I on the wrong track. On the off note here my wife thinks I am crazy for doing this addition. Might be cause I have 1900 other projects that need tending to also. Anybody else have this issue? -
Best of luck with your sale.

I would say an solid 2K, especially with the work you've done to it.

Best of luck with your search, may you find your certain special set soon. Prayers your way friend.

I could have yes, I needed the extra room to get the last dang bolt in the transmission mount, the left rear one was the hugest PITA, finally got it though, then I figured while I had it up I'd get the fuel pump back to OEM while there. Thanks for the advise, and I did know that fact just had a FART and blew it right off. As you can see I do have jack stands, they just didn't get it put it quite high enough.

At least I have good taste! I vaguely remember reading that last year now, this has been kinda a whirl wind of a year with a lot of stuff happening. I feel for your loss though too.

Tail Light Not lighting up correctly

Cool, hadn't thought about that avenue, at least I finally have LKQ to go to here in Wichita. -
Tail Light Not lighting up correctly
Dinky26 replied to Dinky26's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That light is actually an extra that I got with a bunch of parts I bought last year, if I can figure out how to fix that plug I would do the rest of the wiring correctly. -
Tail Light Not lighting up correctly

I wiggled all the wires individually as described above with no change. Upon further testing, the hazard option works fine with key in off position, in on position it flashes back and forth between turn and other half of brake light in the middle with a real slight burn on the back up bulb, turn the key off and it goes back to turn bulb correctly. I have also switched tail lights from side to side with same result. Any idea how to fix a plug with broken wire such as this, not the same taillight as I'm having issues with either. -
Had major HEAD up A## moment about a month ago, backed my Brat into our Tahoe :banghead: ...I still want to cry... At least it was nearly bumper to bumper and not clear down the side on side, could have been much worse. Well it busted the passenger lens completely up then cracked up the housing part with a few pieces broken completely off. I figured all I would have to do was put the pieces back together pull a few dents then get it painted AGAIN at some point. I did find a complete lens and housing, just don't want to give one of my arm bones up though. Before I de-appendage myself I figured I would play Humpty Dumpty first. Pieces went together okay, the tail, turn, flasher, backup lights don't function correctly. I turn the flasher on and all three bulbs flash faintly, tail light does come on with lights, as well does the backup, when I hit the turn signal they all flash faintly again. I've tried all new bulbs, that did not really change my outcome any different then I described above. One other thing I started seeing is the BRAIN box under the steering column is blinking its red eye when I turn the key on to the run position, I have not noticed this action previously. HELP! ANY input is greatly appreciated thanks.
