  2. JAY!!! (this is has a brat.. i'm more active on this one than awdpirates)
  3. Alls i got is stock springs, but the owner thinks it has to stay dropped... I say It won't make it 4 miles living in N. CO, so we'll see. she needs the wheels to spin first:rolleyes:
  4. I don't know where the hell I'm gonna put that thing...
  5. Mercy Sakes, who knows what I'll be driving. I plan to be there. Hope for T-leg or you'll see the RX. EDIT: Hi Jon!
  6. I'm the Girl who stuffed a small block in an MG midget.. (had to cut out the firewall and move it back 6") with a kid i know who's better at the drivetrain stuff, i made the thing fit and did an axle conversion. I say it's possible.
  7. I heard of one cat (not on a subie) dampered a tercel with some kinda modded spring compressor (like you use to put a lift on) but that went around to hold the spring completely on both ends. Doesn't sound like a genious i dea, cause i don't see where you'd get travel, but i thought i'd put that out anyway.
  8. Same Generation as you: I have engine parts I have drivetrain parts I have interior parts I have body parts. What do you need?
  9. I was thinking of sleeving the 1300 for a shifter cart. But the only one i know of is in half and attached to the side of super rupair.
  10. el brat-o, feb 2004-wrecked feb 15 2005-under the earth last day of june 2005
  11. The company dealerships use to get dashmats make brat ones, i got one for mine for $27 cause i worked there and got it at cost, but i think nice, custom ones are $50, and they look great, come in all colors. took 2 weeks for mine
  12. Heck yeah, i got 35 and that was winter pond-water gas, and me driving the hell out of it
  13. way cool!!! we can always use new subie gurus out here in CO
  14. There's one (or 1/2 of one) on the side of Super Rupair's parts building. They cut her down the middle and somehow tackwelded/bolted it to the side of the building 20-30 feet up.
  15. GOD I MISS MY BRAT Yours looks fine! I love the forest green, has the same amount of miles as my baby did when she died. Take a look Hope you have a lot of fun with her
  16. I see some '06 outbacks already, but that might be a CO thing... I haven't ever seen a outback go for anything less than 24k, but that's also probably due to region. I'd stay away from the H-6, they are heavy to drive- what they make extra of horsepower, they forfeit in handling and gas mileage. I think the money is in the 2.5 Turbo (although gets the same gas mileage (about) as the H-6), but is light on it's feet and fun to drive. The difference on the Legacy/ Legacy Outback is really up to the consumer, both are built sturdy and come with cool stuff. I personally like not only the exterior apperance, but the price of the regular Legacies. The LSD (limited slip) is kind of cool in the outbacks, not much else to be said from me- prove it to yourself with a test drive. I've driven a heck of a lot of '05 of both and so long as engine configuration is equal, they drive about the same (set aside the height difference and LSD).
  17. That's what i was going to say- the Yoko-touring are soft compound (like most touring) so they're extremely grippy to about 60k in my experience. I rather liked them on my lowmileage brat. after the brat died they went on ex-boyfriend's '80 320i, and there they stay, and are rather effective on a RWD vehicle too. Word on the street/dealership is that the Blizzaks are really the way to go for subes, but like all tires, you have to rotate them good to be effective. I put michellin on my brother's ride, '92 Legacy. They are awesome in most ways, but i wouldn't do them again because we live in a town w/ crappy roads so one is blown atleast every 10k, no matter what you buy. so cheap tires are kind of the way to go here. Also: I am a strong propnent of 5-tire rotation- 2 advantages- 1. Full size spare (no damage to AWD if you do blow a tire and need a spare) 2. w/ 3-5k rotation schedule, makes tires last longer.
