  1. Meeky get a hold of an Oil pump rebuild kit thru Advance Auto. Its the only parts store around here I could get one to come up on the computer at. 18026196 is $5.99 and has the o ring and gasket and a few little things.
  2. I agree, too much like the HP logo but that would be up to the true HP guys....Qman and Zapar especially.
  3. Mick is up for it if you want to ship half the boxes to him and half to me. (or you can ship all of it to 1 address and one of us can get the stuff from the other pretty easy too) He's got the MS Access brains so we can catalog stuff.
  4. Thats quite an idea Billy. Would you be willing to ship the 15 boxes to Iowa? I have most of the parts manuals, and Mick is only 2 hours away and could probably help me with cataloging the items and trying to determine what models they go to. I am pretty fast to ship stuff and would definately make sure the proceeds go to the board. I think you should have a get together down there to part the cars out if there is enough interest in the parts. Start by snapping pics of their current look and what options the car has and then we can work on finding a volunteer down that way to come up to your place and help part out the cars and ship the desired parts. Really ought to sell the NOS parts before parting out the car though, people are more apt to want new stuff than used if its available.
  5. So what do I tell a machine shop to do to an ea82T flywheel that I am using an XT6 clutch kit on then?
  6. I was wondering the same thing this evening and emailed him at his last known good email address. I will let everyone know the outcome of the email.
  7. 1983 Sales Brochure sidewall says SF RADIAL BRIDGESTONE in Raised White Letters.
  8. The pamphlet im talking about is a Bridgestone book with a red edge, not a Subaru book. I haven't seen one in a while though.
  9. Dug thru both of my cars looking for the owners manual pamphlet that had the tire information in it but came up empty. Do you have your owners manual books anymore? In there should be a really thin little booklet explaining the warranty.
  10. Id use a real dark blue and put orange in the letters to make it stand out. That'd add 10 horse power.
  11. I apologize for the annoyance here in our reposting the information so many times and asking people to vote again.
  12. I would tend to guess that the XT has a 3.7 in it, especially if its an automatic. I think the 3.7 is more suited to street use personally but to each his own.
  13. Slide the vent lever closed. Also where is the coolant gauge pointing? If it is pointed at normal and you have luke warm air then you could have coolant of the wrong mixture or you could have a clogged heater core. The slide lever for the heater controls works best in the 2nd from the left and the HEAT (Floor) settings on most of my old Subaru's of the past. Also check the coolant level. The radiator shouldnt be brim full but it should be full to the level of the first fin you can see when looking down thru. If it isn't you probably have an air bubble somewhere causing the coolant to not circulate.
  14. Andy did you ever get this information figured out? Im going to be wiring my 83 Turbo wagon for an 88 RX trans and wanted to know what to use.
  15. Please see details on the new thread here: http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11244
  16. Geocache located AT the park and cache description shows a fun drive that may be added to the tour drive. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=d6abe979-5dee-4b73-bba2-75361888e70e
  17. The auto one is actually a small fraction of an inch LARGER in diameter. I had to use the rubber parts from the auto bar to get it to wrap around the radius rods even. Small difference but enough. Nice to have a better part and the right part in one fell swoop.
  18. Boy am I happy now! I went out to the garage and started looking at everything and now I have it in. Solved thru taking the swaybar off its brackets and putting the one that has always been on the car on again. You have to use the radius rods, radius rod blocks and swaybar mounts from the manual trans brat setup but the turbo swaybar itself has to be used. The hump is shifted further to the right, as noted by GD, for the exhaust. This should also insure that I can bolt the exhaust on without worrying about it hitting something. Thanks everybody, this has to be the first EA81T RX Wagon so I am really having to cobble it together and learn....lots of fun! Pics to illustrate: Pic 1 of Swaybars TURBO 4wd AUTOMATIC SWAYBAR HAS YELLOW STRIPE OF PAINT ON IT. Pic 2 of swaybars
  19. Thats why were doin it this far in advance. Everybody: Can we change it to the 2nd week in April and still have your attendance? Objections??? I have reset the poll so please vote again and comment again if you can do the 10th too.
  20. Hey Casey I remember talking to you before, welcome back! (Check out the Midwest Subaru meet!) If you need parts that aren't rusty I would post in the marketplace. There are guys from the Pacific Northwest, California, Arizona, Colorado, etc that have parts in areas where they dont salt the roads. Amazing what a difference it is. The guys here are very nice about shipping you the right stuff and not ripping you off. Id MUCH rather give money to a fellow enthusiast than some junkyard.
  21. Ive got a manual rack that was in a Turbo Brat that had been converted to manual steering if you would like it let me know. I can bring it to the midwest meet if you plan on coming. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/usmb/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10653
  22. I plan on bringing 1 Subaru, and 2 people. My Dog Sube will be in attendance as well.
  23. Date: Saturday April 3rd, 2004. (See bottom for date conflict, we may adjust date to April 10, 2004 instead, or April 17...) Location: Monona County, Iowa is the area. This county is located between Sioux City and Omaha/Council Bluffs. County features Preparation Canyon State Park and is part of the "Loess Hills." (pronounced "Luss") Loess Hills Other Loess Hills Attractions/Lodging This landform is unique to anywhere except China. The terrain is not typical flat farmland like the state is known for. The plan is do a tour drive of the area either originating at the State Park or ending at the State park, depending upon how many people are coming, when they are coming, and what direction they are primarily coming from. The drive will include interstate highway, gravel, County Road blacktop, small town streets and dirt roads. April is known for muddy conditions and we will try to allow for people that don't have 4wd Subaru's, or Subaru's that prefer to not get dirty, to have options for meeting up with us. After the tour drive we will do a show and shine back at the park. RC Brat races too. We will probably stop in Onawa during the drive to give everybody a chance to wash their Subaru's at a carwash if they wish. The State Park features include a campground. Iowa has pretty good campgrounds at its parks usually. Weather permitting some of us may be camping the night after the meet. Maps: 1) General Area so you can figure out where this is. 2) Detailed road map of the area. (Yellow highlighted areas are DIRT roads.) 3) Planned route for the "dirt road" portion of the tour is in orange alongside the roads on this map image I have added a Poll requesting an "RSVP" for the Event. Please comment in the thread here.
