  1. Its okay to attempt to avoid the dealer but sometimes its just easier and the quality is usually certain along with the parts are right almost every time if you bring your Vin number with you.
  2. There is a Borla header and a fake both are pretty popular. You are right on the single port. Im not sure if there is a header for that exhaust port. You could put a 2.5 in place of the 2.2 and that switches to a dual port exhaust and of course increases the power. Not sure if thats carb legal though.
  3. Sorry if you can't see my contact info. My shop site is http://www.retroroo.com I keep enough around for at least 1 kit to do every Subaru engine from 1990 and up.
  4. Wonder what the date is on that data sheet. If its a few years old that would really be a crappy ending to an attempt to try to save a few dollars.
  5. Id just grab an extra master switch or even just buy a power probe, its a tool you can give power and ground to motors, switches, etc real easily. WOuldn't take more than 10 minutes to pull the door card and power it manually with the probe if you needed to in a pinch. http://www.google.com/search?gcx=w&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=power+probe
  6. Hilarious. Honestly just take the thing apart, wash in the sink, blow dry and wait 24 hours to reinstall so its known to be dried out completely. Then ban the drinking of soda from your lives but especially in the car. Bad for you and the car.
  7. I havent ever seen a Legacy in the USA before 95 with manual windows (Brighton). None of those regulators work in the 90-94 though. Overseas models for sure.
  8. Cat converter and ypipe. Anything aluminum, copper etc don't just crush. Separate it out.
  9. The Auto stub can be replaced without taking the trans apart. The manuals cannot.
  10. You are sure its not power steering? Otherwise maybe the cooler line connection on the drivers side below the brake master cylinder?
  11. I don't think any of the USDM models have the coilpack off center with that style of wires. Looks like a basic 2.2/1.8 wire type but longer on one side and shorter on the other.
  12. If you still need the struts Ill make you such a deal that shipping won't be a concern. I just got a car in that is getting Outback suspension put on and will have the springs and perches left over. Just a matter of paying for some KYB struts and $25/strut to mount all the pieces over. KYB Struts are $ 72.71 ea for the fronts.
  13. You will probably have to break the inner trim on below the window and manually open the latch with the arm that would go between the handle and the latch. Then troubleshoot it with the gate opened.
  14. If you break one bad enough it will still act like both are broken with an open diff.
  15. Probably easier if you could repost them here and we can cut+paste them to the original.
  16. Ill take you on a junkyard tour on a weekend if you wish. Wear comfortable shoes and try to keep up.
  17. Im in Denver (shop) and Westminster (House), with an 84 Turbo Brat, 83 Wagon with a 2.2 swap.....and a lot more stuff put on and of course the wifes 06 Outback and a hatch I am selling (84 with 105K).
  18. Relax and take a break if you need to. The build threads are neat and enjoyed here. I don't think theres any reason for you to dig a hole deep enough to get banned. Ask your insurance agent about a garage policy. Its usually around $10/month. My agent allows me to drive a garaged vehicle for a few days if I need to and just flips it on/off as needed. Vehicles like my Turbo Brat get this treatment in the winter as I try to keep them clean of all the road crap.
  19. I can sell you a pair of fronts that are already assembled with used front Springs and new Kyb strut assemblies, your choice on new tophats or not.
  20. Hit a body supply and grab a roll of dark blue pin striping and make it all line up again. That'd be the icing on the cake.
  21. I have a setup with the air filter box in my attic. Been offered here many times with no reply. Lots easier to make an SPFI setup work than 2 carbs too.
  22. If it just clicks see if your local dealer or Automotive Electric shop has the contacts.
