  1. Ive got some ej trans inner cup axles with outer ea81 head axles if somebody wants them. Reman'd with about 5K miles on them about 2 years in the car. PM if interested. I would certainly trade them toward some Superlite wheels plus cash, parts, and anything else I have in the stable to nab those but I think the 5 lug conversion makes them worthless to me.
  2. No but I am helping do an EZ30 swap with factory wiring and its not terrible but the harness is HUGE.
  3. I am getting pretty close to being a vendor of the crossbred kits from Australia. Can't wait to put a kit on my car.
  4. No they are adjustable rocker arms. About the only thing I can think of is the Vehicle Speed Sensor is starting to fail. The one in the trans wouldn't necessarily throw a code.
  5. Yeah an entire convoy from Colorado will likely skip the show for rallyx instead, kindof sad.
  6. The gasket he is describing sounds like a front diff gasket not a headgasket.
  7. Cool. Are you going to part the brat out or fix the brat with the wagon or .... ?
  8. Damn its the same weekend as SCCA National Rallycross.
  9. I agree with this answer and add I think the cooling system conditioner leaves a brown residue as well.
  10. Nice job on the site. I like that it looks kindof like the old Ultimate Subaru site too. Amazing how many I bought from you, drove, parted out, got a piece or two off of, or just plain laughed at you for buying.
  11. I did a bunch of work with Tom (eyesore) on that car. Miss hanging out with him he is a good guy. PM me when you are ready to EJ it.
  12. Thanks for sharing. I love the old Saab (I think thats what that is)
  13. This weekend is the race at Miller Motorsports park in Utah dubbed the Rallycross National Challenge Utah. I like the Grassroots article (RIP Subiesport) has a picture of my Max's car in it as well. Almost all the pictures of the National Championship race of my car feature him driving it of course (That bum!). The photos he took of me driving it had more dust and cool effects but of course no footage of me in 6th place.
  14. For a VSS you may need to look into an old car that had a drive shaft mounted VSS for a cruise control unit (not a Subaru necessarily). Audiovox has an aftermarket cruise that works on most cars that might be a solution as well where you could add cruise to the car and solve the VSS issue at the same time. Roughly $100 last time I priced the kit for a Vanagon. http://www.miata.net/garage/MiataCCS100.htm
  15. I bought a brat that I used for parts that had the tank where you are saying and it just took away from it IMO.
  16. I think you need the up pipe, down pipe and the 02 sensor moves a little otherwise its been done. Search the 80's forum a little more if you haven't had luck finding exact info.
  17. My turbo brat still has crank windows. I converted my wagon back and forth meaning I put them all in, made it all work, then took it all out because the motors are rather slow and drove me more nuts than just having crank windows. Grab the harnesses out of the wagon I think you will find that theres a plug under the dash for each window motor harness to plug into already but if not you have a lot more work.
  18. I would just pull the engine out of the car if it gave me that much trouble.
  19. Thanks for posting I wish I could afford to buy and ship that here.
  20. Nice job on the repair I cant see it. Something some of us knew all along was those little EA81 era cars that aren't 4wd, hatches, or Brats are still going to draw attention and money eventually. They are unique and are tossed aside quicker than the sought after models.
  21. Keep plugging along man those bolts aren't going to be that bad to fight. A sharp set of drill bits and a lot of patience should get them out.
  22. Where is Sanders at ? I think you would be able to get a tank from somebody on the forums here. A Wagon, sedan, coupe or brat tank will work just not a hatchback. Must also be from a 4wd car. Post a wanted ad in the marketplace.
  23. Oil sender: Ive done them with the ea sending unit, take it off the old engine take it to a shop that makes stainless steel brake lines and ask them to adapt the end to a fitting that will plumb into the spot where the dummy sender on the 2.2 is. Give it about 10 inches of line and lay it between the ps pump and the alternator and wire to that. I wish I had a picture of that still. The temp won't send enough reading. I think somebody here used a resistor to make it work. I just used an aftermarket temp gauge.
