Hello! We are taking our 99 outback wagon to a dealer tonight. The car doesn't want to go into D, 1, 2 or 3 at all. The only way to get the tranny to 'catch' going forward is to rev it to 2000 or so, let off the gas and then, if I time it just right, I can get it going.
Anyone else have this problem? We've seen it discussed elsewhere - I'm just wondering if anyone has had success getting Subaru to pay for some of the repair - which I anticipate to be very costly. It seems to be widespread, but we just need some more info.
