"DVR like the you know player thing" says Pee Girl. Wasn't good enough for ya? Good to see everyone, great weekend and as promised I delivered on the rain for ya! Seems Dave an Melis have already bagged for next year. Would rather hide in a parking lot in the middle of no where with the dying SVXs then show them off and try to get some new blood by sharing them with the 10k or so people who come to the show. Hope next year is as low key as this year, aside from Matt getting into fist fits with fellow Chrysler owners. I think it was a insecurity thing about his new LeBaron.

Nope it doesn't suck. Yet at least. Weather is starting to climb today. Tomorrow 91, Sat 94 and Sunday 95:mad:. Only 14 work calls thus far, got down in about 4.5 hours pretty smooth through DC then traffic would come to a standstill every exit south for about 45 minutes. Jag averaged 24.5mpg down with what 3k worth of trailer and load. Do that with your Baja. Only got it up to 90 once or twice. For comparison the Legocrappy averaged 19-21 going to Wildwood. Angie is very much wanting one which makes that XJR less of a dream:banana:

There will be at least one exotic there. That is provided the TVR doesn't run out of gas on the way there. Don't worry, you'll hear it coming. Even if you're still in Conn. I'm in agreement with ya that it isn't what it used to be. Too many old farts spent too much money on the vintage stuff to be willing or able to drive it to a show.

Cool, might even try to put some 225/60r16s on it as I hate steel wheels

Looking for a couple extra inches of height out of my beater obs. A friend has some outback struts. Has anybody fitted outback struts on their obs or imp? If so any issues and how much did it raise it?

Bleeding for the brakes wouldn't change things from good to bad overnight. You still have a decent pedal feel right the pads just aren't seated? If I remember right the XT6 has Loyale style brakes so you need to turn the caliper piston in and have it line up with the nub on the pad. Its possible you didn't get it lined up right and the pads are only hitting on the outer edge. This needs to be corrected quickly as you'll ruin your pads and rotors. Front rotors are replacable with 99 Cav rotors so you can replace those for under $40 easy. The pads themselves should be readily available. Also, make sure that everything is greased nicely in there as you might be having a hang pad. Replace your tranny fluid and if you want to the bushings for the shifter are available, though not exactly cheap for the XTs. Don't overtighten them or it'll be just as bad!

xt6 problem need some advice

Turn the key to on, go in the trunk and connect the green plug by the computer or maybe its the black plugs, one is stored codes, other is active. -
No headgasket issues, simply needs its second manual transmission rebuild already, is on its 3rd cd changer, has a clutch that slipped since new, exhaust rattles like my 95 SVX and the fit and finish wouldn't pass GMs stringent standards. Most of the people who as Gary says "have no issues" in reality do have these same problems, they just aren't anal enough to care about their car.

Every Subie pain I've dropped 88-96 XT6, Legacy, Imp and SVX had a mag in it. I don't think any of the bolts had much magnetic strength but that doesn't me they didn't have any. If I remember right there is a little punched out area for where the mag. goes so my guess is if the later ones have that punched steel area they'd have'm too.

My first Subaru - 86 XT GL

Which in reality is better except on snow days. It kills any other 6 in handling, comfort and fuel mileage. With the auto I could get close to 40mpgs if I tried. You won't do that in a full time 4wd subie! -
Power steering problems 91 xt6
benebob replied to Teagar's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
It still uses PS fluid doesn't it (in the rack and all right as it is still a hydro set up isn't it? I know Honda uses normal PS fluid in the insight. I tried them once to see what they used. -

Here's one that's quite nice. Its sitting out front right now and she could be yours. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=39643 The tranny ratio sounds right for 5th. It runs kinda high but that's normal. Not to steal your thread and all. -
Or you could go across the pond to England and see how well kept their cars are as well living on an island even. They take care of their autos as they cost so much to own and operate. Americans are lucky to wash their cars every 2 weeks and underneath well that doesn't need to be clean does it.
-
2 Reasons: 1. Planned obsolecence. If they made the engine wear out before then it would be a GM. 2. The US puts more salt on its roads than every other country combined. It isn't something that is easy to design around when you're not used to having to deal with salt at these levels.

03 GT leg is yet again having issues (we're almost ready to go to the second set of toes). Cd player spits the cds out after trying to play them. Is there a TSB on this or an easy fix. Its my wife's car and is the most unreliable POS I've ever owned. It is very close to becoming a Honda as I simply don't want to spend more time dealing with a freaking 03 with 24k on it then I do on my other 4 vehicles (and one of those is an old stykle Ford PU!)
