  1. Has anyone messed with the performance chips available on e-bay and elsewhere?
  2. It seems like you were close when you pinched off the fuel line. You may want to explore that area. Also, vacuum lines? Any leaks?
  3. If you lived in Ft. Nelson, I might consider it. But you've got to be 35 hours from Anchorage. Just a bit too far.
  4. The Cooper STT's with 14" pugs and minimal hammering = no rubbing. (If you can find them. You may have to come back here to get them.)
  5. The problem with the 390's is the cost of the tires to put on them.
  6. My bet is that it's a 93. Loyale didn't even come into production until the late 80's.
  7. On behalf of those close enough to attend, thanks for the heads up, Jerry. I wish it were closer.
  8. Nice score. What did you have to fork over for it?
  9. Brad, I've got a spare 4spd d/r ea81 from the Brat if you want it.
  10. Welcome to the board. If you can find a Legacy with a 2.2 liter motor, it should last well over 200k with very little problems. Keep the oil changed, and swap out timing belts at proper intervals.
  11. That's an impressive line-up. 14" Pugs on the RX?
  12. Try shooting a PM to Snowman. He did the crossover on his ea82. He might be able to suggest something.
  13. There were a couple of good threads on this last Fall. Do a search. One method suggested was brake fluid - but it absolutely had to be a fresh bottle of Subaru brake fluid. Look it up, I'm not fooling.
  14. The dash speakers are different sizes. One is a 4 x 6 , the other is an off size. The door speakers are like 51/4". I have a spare set of door speakers if you need them. I put in 3" Sonys in hte dash ans 6x9 boxes behind the seats.
  15. Even though I can't make it there, I want one. Who's going to cook the crab I send down with Snowman this year?
  16. Does it start and run, but die if you don;t pump the gas? If so, you probably have some gunk (debris) in the carb that is not allowing a plunger to close. (Wish I had the specific carb part names). Sometimes it can be fixed by blowing it out or even reving the motor, putting a rag over the carb and pulling it off at the last second. It's a pretty easy fix.
