Need help analyzing my stool sample
northguy replied to Sweet82's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Looks like fiberglass packing, an item often used in cheap exhaust systems. How's your car sound? Loud? -

You may want to check with Jerry (bratsrus1). He's from your neck of the woods and knows a lot about off-roading. -
The immediate advantage that comes to mind with the Loyale is the absence of a dual range transmission. That alone would be reason to hang onto the older GL model.

John, I received your first payment of $100. Thank you. Make sure to keep proof/records (as I will also) so there is no mix up when the debt is repaid in full. Thanks again.

Shortening shifter in EA82 lifted wagons?
northguy replied to Tin Soldier's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
To move it back, you'd have to cut and lengthen the shifting rods to the tranny, and modify the hole in the tunnel in the floor. -

I cut mine beneath the boot and rewelded it. Easy fix. -

If you have some unbroken, original tailgate clips, I'd love to have them. Cost to 99567. Merry Christmas. -

Just move up here and drive the Anchorage 500 every day for a winter. You'd get as much out of it. Merry Christmas, Ed. -

I offered him all of the crab legs he could eat, and he still didn't come to WCSS7.Maybe next time, Paul. -
So John just called and promised to start paying me back $50 every two weeks starting January 1st. At that rate, he'll have paid me back the $720 I paid him on December 11th 2004 somewhere around August 7th, 2006. I look forward to the first payment. It, at least, is a step in the right direction.

Boy do I feel like the stupid high school kid who has been stood up by his date. I waited and waited by the phone, hoping I would get a call, hoping John would come through on his word - even if it's just a phone call - at least that would be a step in the right direction. But no, not even a phone call. If I can't even get a phone call, is there even any hope of ever seeing my money? Any of it?
-
I reiterate:
-
Gee John, I called you and got no answer so I left a message and my phone number asking you to PLEASE return my call. Imagine my surprise at not receiving a return call. My patience is waning, so please be forthright and answer (simple yes/no , straightforward answers) these questions: 1. Are you going to pay me my $720? 2. If so, when can I expect the payment - lump sum or partial? Please don't be ambiguous - give me a date - a fixed, drop-dead date.
-
I see John was on today. He seems to be ignoring this thread, and his responsibility/ debt. That really is unfortunate. I had hopes to resolve this without having to result to other means. That's disappointing.

One for the street, one for off-road, and one to sit in the yard as a parts car?
