  1. Austin, it looks like a pretty clean job. Nice work.
  2. Come in out of the rain. Torxxx has been around for some time and is a pretty resourceful guy. Very glad to have him handy here.
  3. I hope you get your parts in time. I see from one of his posts that Mudrat is planning to be in AZ on the first to buy a SVX, swap the tranny and drive it back home. I'd sure like to get my bumpers before then, too.

  5. Hey Brad, welcome back. What takes you to Soldotna? Be sure to check out the subbie place on the spur road. He has 2 360's and offers $10 oil and filter changes to all subarus. He even uses oem filters. When are you going to be in Anchortown next? We're looking at a good meet-n-greet time.
  6. Kelly, thanks for the offer, but I'm headed out hunting Friday afternoon. Yes, they are the ea82, 3 position struts.
  7. Thanks for the response. It sounds a bit more complicated than I originally thought.
  8. 16 readings and nobody has the answer? Someone must know. It seems like it should be a pretty simple thing. Some help is certainly appreciated.
  9. What all is involved in ratcheting up the rear adjustable rear struts on my XT6? They are currently on the md setting and I'm hoping to get a bit more clearance by bumping them up a notch. Looking for insight on procedure and tools needed. Thanks.
  10. You might consider pulling out the air ride and replacing it with conventional struts. Less of a headache overall, and probably cheaper in the long run.
  11. Can I get that first round air freighted to Alaska? Good luck on the transplant and the trip. Glad you finally got your parts from Mudrat; I'm still waiting.

  13. You could be like me and have an XT6 AND a Brat.
  14. WOW! I'm not sure if I should feel insulted by your comments, but I am. I can understand if you didn't take the time to read through the full thread here as it is quite lengthy, but I feel my concern (not threats) is justified. To reiterate: I paid John $720 on December 11, 2004 for a set of bumpers which were promised before Christmas of last year. That and several other dates were missed. (He has explained why each date was missed - no need to rehash those.) In 3 more days, it will be 9 months I have been waiting patiently for my prepaid bumpers. I even attended WCSS7 and met him, but still no bumpers. I understand John's committment to job and family. I just wish he had the same committment to his customers. I am sure he will come through, but the timeliness of it is a concern. As to vanity of my Brat, it is an exceptionally nice car, and I am proud of it, but I am most concerned with the business aspect of a deal made and not yet delivered on. Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of being able to drop in on him and insist on the completion of my job. I look forward to the day when I can report (and I will) when I have received my bumpers as the original deal prescribed. I am happy that you place so much trust in him. That lends credence to his honesty, but unfortunately does nothing for closing the deal which has remained unfullfilled for almost 9 months now.If you did not direct your comments (***************ing, g/d'd, vanity,...) toward me, I appologize. If indeed you did mean to include me, I would suggest you frequent yourself with the entire thread so you know that of which you speak.
  15. It sounds like a choke-related issue, but have you checked the condition of the air filter?
  16. Welcome to the board. I love the innovation. Pics, please.
  17. I admire your pioneer spirit, Kelly.Never had a doubt you could pull it off. Glad to see you back.
  18. I just got off the phone with John. He says that the powdercoater had to switch to white for a very large order that is being sent overseas, and that he has about 14 bumpers stacked up ready to go as soon as the powdercoater switches back. He also appologized about not being on the computer recently as he's been swamped at work. Let's see what happens in the near future.
  19. First, go buy a good manual. Try "PM ing" a couple of the locals. You can do a search in the members section. I believe Larry Dew is nearby. Good luck.
  20. I don't doubt he's busy. I don't doubt he's a good guy. He's a family man and I understand that priority. My father raised 5 children on a very modest income, worked 2 jobs to make ends meet and always kept his word. His word was and still is, his bond. If he says he will do something by a specific date, it was done. With that as an example, I paid for the bumpers on December 11th with a promise that they would be ready before Christmas. It didn't happen. Then the promise was New Year's, then February, then Spring Break, then the WCSS7. I have called him. I have sent e-mails. I have PM'd him. At this point he refuses to talk, he refuses to refund the $720 I paid up front, and he refuses to deliver the product. I'd like to work with him to resolve this without having to go to the next step, but he's not giving me a lot of options. What would you do in this situation?
  21. Do you have the factory head rests also? If not, I've got an extra set.
