I'm elated you (and others) enjoyed it. I am equally happy to have met all of you, and a sincere and heartfelt thank you to Eric, and Ken and Richie, and Ed.... I heard someone say about me while I was cooking crab, "Oh, he's always got a smile on." Well, thanks to you guys, that was true. I even smiled all of the way home. It was one of the best get aways I've had in some time. Thanks again.

Thanks Brian. Great to have finally met you also. I look forward to next year already. -
Those crazy Cannuks can't obey their own speed limits. I got blown away early by the locals and was just fighting to protect the reputation of the Subaru name. Besides, there are no K/M markings on my speedo, and I would have played ignorant of the math ability if I were stopped. It was certainly a pleasure to have met you and your son. Let's do it again next year.

Noah, after I took a couple of wrong turns, and went looking for a fan belt in Prince George, I ended up with 2500 = miles, but Kelly has me beat with the round trip mileage. However, the return part of his trip technically is a business trip (hauling body parts for his employer and getting paid for it) so the award would be best awarded to the guy from Texas. -
Mark, thanks again for selling me the XT6. What a blast. And you are a man of your word. It sailed the 2500= miles home at 75 - 110 mph (I had to see what it would do, but I backed off before I ran out of pedal) without a hitch. I am extremely happy with the car and the trip was a scream. Moose, bears, deer, caribou, sheep, mtn. goats... all saw a silver blur as I screamed through Canada. I did the trip in two legs - 1. From Shelton to Fort Nelson B.C. - got 61/2 hours of sleep and 2. from Fort Nelson to Chugiak. Logged 38 hours of time on the road (not including a jaunt around Prince George looking for a fan belt just in case). Thanks again. And what a pleasure it was to finally meet so many friendly people from the board. Thanks to Ken and Eric... for putting together the show. Where to next year?

Have a good vacation, Ed. It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife. -
I'm back. Man can that XT6 fly - 2500+ miles in just over 38 hours of driving time. I even stopped for a 61/2 hour nap. In Alaska, it depends on what you're interested in. The silvers should be running strong by then if you're into fishing. The art and history museum is always a good bet. Go check out a glacier - Matanuska glacier or Exit glacier are easy accessible. Raft the Kenai canyons. Go on a halibut charter in Seward and see the sea life center while you're there. Head to Alyeske and ride the tram to the top of the mountain and go ridge walking for a bit. Grab a pack and camping gear and go off in any direction. PM me and I'll put together a small meet. Snowman is in Haines and won't be able to make it.

I drove back only and clocked 2532. It was a friggin' blast! -
I'll PM you with the #. He's out of town for a week or two right now.

Brian, I get along with Dave Miller fine. He's always been congenial, cuts me deals on work, offers me hints and tips/advice on troubleshooting. He's done work on my Brat and didn't charge me a dime. I've seen him not so nice, but he was dealing with "know-it-alls" who were about as dumb as a post. I guess he's like anybody else; it's all in how you get treated that determines the reciprocal treatment.

That is a sweet shot. -
Mick, it's the real deal. And he has a second intake manifold and carb set up.
-
Ed, If he's still having problems when he wits northern Wisconsin, I have a brother who lives in Wausau. He'd put him up and he also has garage space if needed.
