  1. If it were based on dumb questions and answers, I'd be way in the negative.
  2. Rocks can come from anywhere. When the shield gets pulled, look to see if the shield slipped off the setting block.
  3. Torxxx, you got a handle on any good seat deals through your work? I see the local j/y has a set or two (condition?) for $150. I'd be willing to drive up there this week if you could find a good deal.
  4. You could also check cartalk.com and see what their referal service lists.
  5. Do a search on emissions tests. Edrach wrote up an almost foolproof remedy/recipe. It is the cat's meow.
  6. So it is doable. Good, and good thing I bought a welded at Christmas time. Now, off to a neighborhood J/Y.
  7. That is from your Brat? I like the 5 spd shifting console.
  8. What options are available (practical) and what kind of a hassle is it to replace the seats in a Brat with other Subaru seats? Are Legacy seats an option?
  9. It somewhat depends on the color of the car. A brown or tan car, probably not. But ust about any other color and those will look sharp. Good idea.
  10. American Tire in Anchorage is (907) 336-7878 or (907) 276-7878 The other place is now called Diversified Tire in Wasilla (907) 376-2700
  11. The third item on your list is posted as for a Legacy or Impreza. Those have a different configuration for contact with spark plugs. They won't work on your set up.
  12. So what did you decide on then?
  13. There are two local shops here that have multiple sets in stock. American tire in Anchorage and Denali Tire in Wasilla have what you need. Maybe you can get the local shop to swing a deal for you as a "prefered" customer. If they want to make a sale they should be able to either give you a good enough discount to offset the shipping, or eat the shipping to make the sale. My price, across the counter, on a set (no discount other than cash) is $300 installed and balanced.
  14. If you get lost and end up here, you're welcome to stay and regroup.
  15. Did you check the fuse box? Any fusale links blown?
  16. Make it into a dedicated off-roader and don't bother registering it.
  17. That sounds like a good excuse to be able to go rally it now.
  18. Welcome to the board. Looking forward to meeting you on the next meet and greet. Sorry I missed you when I was in Fairbanks last weekend.
  19. Did you get all of the linkage hooked up correctly? Vacuum lines?
  20. The mounts may be ruber, but are they excessively worn? That might account for the movement.
  21. You might also look at the internals of the distributor to see if they move or are stuck.
  22. If it's just cracked, no problem. I can repair it. Please send all of them. I'll find a home for them somewhere.
