  1. Let us know how they perform on the trail (as well as the street).
  2. Take the carb off, clean it thoroughly, replace the gasket, pay attention to the idle port, and then smash it with a ten pound sledgehammer and swith to spfi, or you could put it back on. Your choice.
  3. I'll be staying at the Wedgewood resort. Call the front desk and ask for the Wasilla Middle school wrestling coaches room. I might have an hour or so to slip away on Saturday, but I'll be at Tanana MS all day there from 8 in the morning until about midnight. Just tell the people at the front door you are thee to see me and you'll be right back out after you find me. That way you won't have to pay admission.
  4. Good news, Kelly. Thanks for all of your hard work in putting this together. I'll be in Fairbanks on Thursday until Sunday morning. The majority of my time will be at Tanana Middle School on Trainer Gate Road. I've got several phone 3's so I can get in touch with the Fairbanks boys. See you there.
  5. The upside is that you are the local expert on Subarus.
  6. Looks like it should work just fine.
  7. Check Harbor freight to see if they have anything that fits your needs.
  8. Welcome to the board. We won't hold being Hocrest's sister against you.
  9. Welcome to the board. There are a number of Vancouver people on the board.
  10. We'll still be here when you come back. They always do - it's in the blood.
  11. It could be a whole bunch of things. More info would help diagnose it better.
  12. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28317Try this.
  13. You might check Shawn's post on his large cache of parts. He had a bunch of center cap sets.
  14. Karin, welcome to the board. I see there is an ea82 turbo engine on e-bay for $450, but I'm sure you can scare up a cheaper motor in a PAP in your own neighborhood. Good score on the ring.
  15. You bought it used a while back. It is very possible the check engine light came on a while back and the code is stored. If nothing else, check the codes, clear the ecu and check it again in a week. It doesn't cost anything.
  16. Ed, as time runs out on this PAP, I want to thank you on behalf of all board members for your many notices and updates on parts and cars available. Keep up the good work. Much appreciated.
  17. Someone needs to tell the DMV in PA to try on a larger set of underwear. They are just too uptight.
  18. Well, the good news is that you are all right. Cars can be replaced; board members can't. There sure seems to be a spate of these posts. I hope this is the last.
  19. Why, on the evening of the Academy Awards, does that thread start soundlike an acceptance speech for an Oscar? Paul, as always, is dead on: the people on this board are top notch, and Paul is one of the top-notchiest.
  20. Welcome to the board. For your first problem, go to Legacy 777's site and find how to pull the ECU codes. (I agree, it sounds like an O2 sensor, but your car will tell you what's going on). The second sounds like a job for a professional.
  21. You're right. I had XT6 stuck in my head and was thinking exclusively of motor parts.
  22. Welcome to the board. The STI isn't bulletproof (what car made now is?) but it's a solid car with a lot of balls.
