  1. Looks flashy - might as well add some bling-bling while you're at it. Hope you have the HP to back it up.
  2. For what it's worth, or if it helps, I'm planning on getting an extra set of rims just for dedicated off-road tires. Since I use my Brat as a daily driver, it makes good sense not to wear out mudders running back and forth to work. It doesn't take much time to swap out wheels when I need to get out and about.
  3. 1. Go buy a good manual - FSM is probably best. 2. Contact local "experts" in case you get stuck - Calebz and Legacy 777 are both excellent contacts in your area 3. Have fun
  4. I can't attest to the actual super swamper tires, but other high relief tires stt's by Cooper, for example, will rattle the suspension (and your kidneys) and due to less actual tread, they are not as safe as regular radials. My .02
  5. Kelly, you could always swing by Northern 4 X 4 outfitters on Airport Way and see what they have to offer.
  6. Madmax, welcome to the board. Find out when the timing belt was last replaced. If you are not mechanically inclined, it could be an expense you don't want to encumber initially. Clutch should be good for a while. Look at the brakes also, and ask if there has been a problem with the alternator/charging system. Overall, a great choice of car.
  7. It's nice to have a garage with a big heater in it.
  8. You can borrow mine for my Brat if you'd like.
  9. Welcome to the board. I applaud you for wanting to research on your own first, but feel free to ak if you get confused or need clarification.
  10. Will it be called "Fear and Loathing in a Subaru"?
  11. Common sense states that the cleaner around the carb (oil, grease, coolant...spills and stains), the better condition of the carb. Common sense also says you'd be money and time ahead to rebuild it before you put it on. A rebuild kit would be worth its weight down the road.
  12. The only pair nicer than that are on some girls I've seen.
  13. That would be Zap. Excellent footage of numerous Subaru adventures and events.
  14. Take it to a hill, stop halfway up and restart. That will tell you which wheels are grabbing.
  15. Welcome to the board. I'm sure you will have questions in due time.
  16. Nice score. What are you eventually loking to keep? I'll start looking.
  17. Welcome to the board. The good news, as listed above, is that you have about everything you need to get the maximum out of your Brat. The bad is that there's not a ton left to beef it up a whole lot more.
  18. It's probably a more respected position than my current one.
  19. Miles means old school, as in early generation subarus, i.e.: the two you list. Good luck with the sales.
  20. Welcome to the board; we're, for the most part, pretty hard to offend. I'm not up on Acura wheels, but the easiest way to find out is to ascertain the bolt pattern. I believe yours is 5 x 100.
