  1. Welcome to the board. You will want to meet Moosens. He lives just down the road from you.

    The Cheap lift

I also like the fact that by buying Ozified, we're supporting a board member, looking out for one of our own. An additional $75 for a tried and true product is pretty inexpensive in my book.
  3. Cool, Kelowns B.C. is the closest. If I start now, I'll get there just in time.
  4. You can also use it to push your car with it. Put the base against a solid part of the car and the lift jaw against a tree or big rock and jack away. Up here we call them handyman jacks, and they are responsible for a number of broken jaws, concussions, and broken wrists/hands/crushed fingers. Be careful.
  5. What is the population of Longview? The place I live is about 2,500 people, so I don't expect there'll ever be another board member from Chugiak.

    The Cheap lift

I'd do the opposite. Get the lift first and save up for the rims later. If you get rims first, after you install the lift you very well may change your mind about the size of the rims you want to run.
  7. Well. it's either going to be good, bad, dumb, tough, or no Luk. (Sorry, couldn't resist. No, I haven't heard anything about that brand.)
  8. Two things come to mind: 1. You have a greater tendency to be late to places as you notice a great place to pull off the road and rip it up for a bit, and 2. You get some really awesome looks and thumbs up from other drivers. Wind resistance is a bit more, so gas mileage is abit less, but you can offset that by putting larger wheels/tires on.
  9. Sounds like too much fun, and a bit of a headache.
  10. The new 3.0, I've been told, is a chain drive. So, maybe that's a move in a different direction for the future.
  11. This sounds like a testimony to send to SOA. Glad you survived unscathed.
  12. If you get that all together you'll have to call it Frankensubbie.
  13. Be patient, it's worth the wait.
  14. Sisu just move there and is living withhis son while he builds his house. But he isn't onthe board - no internet. I'll drop him a line and let him know. Where will you be?
  15. Now we're moving in the right direction. Keep up the good work.
  16. 1. try rubbing a bit of oil on the gaskets first and see if that helps make a better seal on the glass. Also try tp adjust the glass for a better fit. 2. see if the glue that holds the gaskets in place is dried out first, If so, 3M makes a gasket glue to reseal the gasket to body with. About $15 per tube. 2 should do the whole car. 3. visit your local PAP and get seals there instead of through the local shop and install them yourself 4. If none of that works - duct tape!
  17. good to hear you and your son are fine. Unfortunately, that is almost a way of life in certain parts of the country. Up here it's moose, in the midwest it's deer. Vehicles can be replaced.
  18. It sounds like scrappy may be able to deliver to subeman in PA. This might actually work out.
  19. Hey, if you want to make a sidetrip up here, I've got a spare room, and I'll treat you to King Crab and salmon, moose and caribou.
  20. Have you tried it out yet? It might be a swoon for Pug wheels and such.
  21. Northwet, if scrapdaddy uncovers a 3.9 lsd in time for your return trip, I'd appreciate you picking it up and motoring it back to Seattle for shipping. Edrach knows the drill for shipping to AK. Let me know what is going on with the return trip and logistics....
  22. I've never concerned myself with which years as therearen't any Pugs in AK. When I want to buy pug wheels, I let Edrach know and he digs some up for me. He 's my go to guy for wheels. Always comes through with a good deal.
