  1. In Alaska there are two types of people who try to predict the weather: 1. fools 2. tourists It's going to do what it wants. Just be prepared for it a nd have fun. I'll be sitting in the dentist's chair.
  2. There was a short cloudburst at #7, but it didn't last long.
  3. I'll meet you at the McDonald's on Muldoon in Anchorage.
  4. Sorry, I can't make the show this year. I'm putting in 50+ hours a week at work this summer. With the 4th falling midweek, they're not giving anyone time off. I promise I'll be back for #10 (unless it's during moose hunting season).
  5. I preordered 2 large shirts and a glass, and have asked Richie to pick them up and mail them to me.
  6. Only edit I can see is changine EA to EJ in the first line.
  7. A can of fix-a-flat, a set of jumper cables, road flares, a road map, fan belt, a tube of stop flow for a radiator leak, a gas can, a flashlight, a sense of adventure. And a .45 semi-automatic handgun.
  8. The thread title implies that the time to pre-register is over. Perhaps "posted" or "up and running" may be clearer.
  9. What will it weigh?
  10. Bring a sense of community, and respect for those with families who may want to sleep at night. Also a sense to behave within expected norms - courtesy, honesty, responsibility, ... basic decent human principles. It's o.k. to cut loose, but not at the expense of others. Remember that many people put in countless hours and a bunch of money to put the show together. It only takes a couple of boneheads to put a damper on it and cause people not to want to continue volunteering in the future.
  11. The shield should be urethaned to the gasket. If you are careful, you can use a razor knife between the gasket and the glass both outside and inside and it'll kick out pretty easily. I made a tool out of an old windshield blade (specialty glazier's tool) and a piece of conduit that cuts the outside and the top lip in the gasket. Remember to cover the defrost vents when you kick it out to prevent glass from flying in your face next November when you turn on the defroster.
  12. And that's Snowman looking in with awe and wonder.
  13. Welcome to the board. If you like your new ride, it was a good buy.
  14. The Subaru gods in Iowa have been working overtime.
  15. Hey, that Brat looks a lot like mine. I see you have a set of Mick's stickers on it.
  16. Don't look at it as a bother. If you have the question, rest assured there are 10 more people out there with the same question. Asking questions and sharing answers is what this board is all about. But by the same token, you can use the search function to research the "tick of death" to see what has been discussed already. There might be information already in the archives that will help you solve the problem.
  17. Replace the parts, or turn up the jams!
  18. Go buy some rust penetrant and let it soak in for a couple of days while you're waiting.
  19. I rechecked the thread when I got home, and it's posted on cars.com as having a 4spd.
  20. Congrats, Ed. Sorry I missed your day. I was down in Shawn's area this last weekend. I saw an 82 Brat with the seats in it and a 5spd (the ad said) for $1650. Who on the board lives in Ft. Collins with a Brat for sale?
  21. northguy replied to suby man 16's topic in Off Road
It depends on whom from you are ordering it.
  22. Looks like a new outlet for tube bumpers.
