  1. Paul, you must be about vibrating by now. Good score.
  2. It was indeed a good one. Got home and checked mail - no door cups? Would you check on those? Did you send them U.S. Mail - delivery notice, or registered mail?
  3. One could do this himself, but the odds of getting it right (no leaks and no breaks) versus the extra cost of having it done professionally is not a good risk. Spend the extra dollars and have a glass shop put in a new one.
  4. I concur. Comparatively speaking, old school are much easier to work on. Good to see you back on line. You've been without a post for a while.
  5. Paul. missed you in both directions. Maybe the next time I get out that way...?
  6. Moosens, sorry I missed you on the way through. If I knew your number I'd call and arrange a meet, but
  7. Welcome to the board (both of you). Smeone here will have an idea, but a preliminary thought is that there is a poor electrical connection (faulty ground?) that's allowing intermittent conductivity - a "leaching" off of power that, after 3 hours tells the system to reset. My .02.
  8. Denatured alcohol or Goof Off. The former is cheaper; the latter requires less work. Both work well. Check reactivity to paint first.
  9. Wow, Patrick. You scared me. I initially thought you were going to discontinue offering them. Glad to see otherwise. Call them whatever you like, just keep us supplied. None better.
  10. Man, this is starting to sound like that big soap opera from down under a few months back when a newbie came on the board and was undercutting BYB's designs and then the pissing wars started and the threats of legal action.... I hope this isn't the case here. Mudrat - easy way to copywrite/ patent your designs = put a dated copy of your plans in a letter and mail it to yourself via certified mail. If you need evidence in court, open the envelope in front of the judge. Cheap patent - less than $2.
  11. If you sent them Fed Ex, did you send them to my P.O. Box? (Hope not). Going to land in Baltimore and hang with somew friends and then go to Boston, then back to Va, then to the U.P. and then home. Whirlwind 10 day tour.
  12. Paul, welcome back. Have you sent the door handle cups yet? If not, I'll be coming through your neck of the woods on the 18th. Maybe we could meet up for the exchange.
  13. The tire place, I'm sure, is going by what the book says since there have been places sued by litigous ***holes for putting on different sized tires than the specs call for after the *** holes got in a wreck. As long as all four tires are the same (and not too radically different so as to make the center of gravity way different) it should be fine.
  14. Tread on down (pardon the pun) to the local warehouse store (out west it's Costco or Sam's Club) and see what's available. I've purchased Michelins there before as well as Bridgestones and B.F. Goodrich. They should have some type of M?S tire that'll be dual purpose enough. Although I've never tried to go bigger than 195/75/13, you might be able to go to 205, but that's just a guess. I'd wait for more feedback, especially from someone who has gone bigger than me.
  15. Congrats on the new job. I hope it's everything you envisioned it to be.
  16. There used to be a function you could use to access user names by state, but I think that got dropped with the changeover from the old Vbulletin board.
  17. I've used the colored wax that comes with the scratch cover stick with a good deal of success. But the key is to buy a cheap buffer ($25) and any wax will look great. Buff it baby!
  18. I lived in the Ft. Collins area inthe mid and late 70's. It was great, but getting overcrowded then, and the mugration of Texans was the scorn then. Move to AK. MIS jobs here are in high demand, and there's a ton of subbies.
  19. EJ-22's were early model Legacy motors - about bulletproof and lots of horsepower. As far as transplants, you need to talk with others about that. It's been done , but not by me. But maybe someday (when IM testing doesn't exist).
  20. Let me see - with a name like 420, maybe you crossed a wire or two? - but it's probably an exhaust leak.
  21. You've trimmed down your stable, but it's good to see quality over quantity. Keep up the good work.
