  1. It sounds like you're in the range of normalcy.
  2. How would you like to double you profit? I'll give you $2 for it. Maybe even $5! - Seriously, excellent job. Knowledge is power.
  3. Thanks for remembering me, Paul. Take your time - no hurry. Keep your kids warm and - well do what you want with the mother-in-law.
  4. Also check the diaphram in the air cleaner to see if it's closing the flap/ diverting warm air from the exhaust.
  5. Have you tested the diaphram on your air breather tube to see if it is closing the flap and diverting warm air to the carb? If it isn't, the carb could be icing up, which could be part of the problem.
  6. Man, you could very well be the Miles Fox of Canada - and I don't mean that in any negative way.
  7. Nice job. Who makes Wildcats, and how do the compare (cost and performance) to Cooper sst's?
  8. Recognition of a problem is the first step to recovery.
  9. Champ, welcome. There are several members from the Greatland. Torxxx is in Fairbanks, Snowman Haines/Anchorage - in fact he just blew through Tok last Friday. Cougar = Anchorage, AKBrando is from Kodiak, Battle_Wagon_Medic lives in Eagle River, and I live is Chugiak. I've seen a couple of Brats for sale, but they're the typical Alaskan rust heaps. Three of us are planning to do a lift conversion in the Spring. Interested?
  10. Snowman bought one a couple of months back and I "believe" he bought it from Redline. Correct me if I'm wrong, Kelly.
  11. I recall doing a search last summer and thee were two excellent articles explaining the prefered parts for making the change over to a conventional system for under 300 dollars. Seems cheap in the long run.
  12. Torxxx, what (ballpark figure) do you suppose you could get it to Cordova for (cost)? Once in state, the options for getting it to Anchortown or Fairbanks open up tremendously.
  13. Brian, yes - 376 is a Valley number - Wasilla High School, to be exact. Kelly, is the trip to Haines smoother in the Winter than the Summer? Less problemswith gravel slide? How was the Caribou Creek construction?
  14. As with the bard, I have no expertise in this field. In fact, the very expensive cd player my wife bought me for christmas I had installed professionally. In the process, the installer complaned that before a certain year ( 1989 I believe he cited) all Subbies had a common ground speaker set up. In the process of hooking mine up, I also opted for new speakers so the wiring wasn't as complicated. But if you're running to an existing set up bear inmind you're probably dealing with a common ground system.
  15. What's a ballpark price on one? I'm always looking for an excuse to buy more tools, especially if I can use your discount:D .
  16. Snowman, Torxxx has said he needs an EA83, 3" kit. I'm looking at an EA81, 3" kit, and I assume you're after the same as Torxxx. Is that correct? Just trying to finalize this so I can get a price from Patrick and start to look at shipping options. Torxxx, what did you find out about air freight on AK airlines? Is your connection going to pan out? Let me know. I'm anxious t get this going. From the PM's I've received and the posts here, along with the local pros, it looks like we'll be able to pull this off without a hitch. Maybe by the time we get to the third one, we can make an instructional video the PK can include as part of his marketing. (We'll have to find someone to take my place - no one wants to see my ugly mug. ) But seriously, if there were a person to pull this off (the video) it would have to be Zapar - he's installed 7 of them, and he's already skilled with the camera.
  17. Snowman, let me know if you've arrived in Anchorage. If I haven't seen a posting by this evening, I'll know something is amiss.
  18. Snowman, I hope you made it fine. Post to let me know you made it - either tonight when you get in or tomorrow when you get around to it.
  19. Thanks Brian, we'll be sure to ask if problems arise.
  20. Kelly, got the message. If you break down before 5 P.M., call me at work - 907-376-5341. I'll be home by 5 . Good luck.
  21. Brian, thanks for clarifying the shifter/exhaust situation. By the time Spring rolls around and we're ready to do this, we'll have a cache of knowledge that should make it relatively easy.
