  1. So what is the designation of these motors? Venus Motors And finding a motor from a 22B, I'm sure that every 22B that was made is still on the road, or so horribly mangled that the best body guys couldn't put it back together again. And that the engine was snagged up within 20 minutes of it being "totaled"
  2. Noah wants an EJ20G preferably a Red top STi with the AVCS much more capable then the EJ22 with the EJ25 heads. Approx 280+ HP
  3. could also be an idler bearing, or a tensioner pully, those seem to make funny noises when there about to let go, also check your oil level, which i'm sure you did as soon as you heard the funny noises. I'd reccomend a technicians stethoscope, with the metal probe end, you can put it to different parts of the entine and determine where the sound is coming from, that way you can narrow down what the noise is from, and not replace parts that don't need it. If you don't know when your timing belts have been replaced, now is a goot time to get in there and take care of them, along with the tensioners and pullys, as well as the water pump, and the seals in the oil pump. don't forget your cam and crank seals either, don't want to have it all together, only to take it apart in 3 months to do a front crank seal.
  4. Where did you find that price? hook a brother up!!
  5. the strange vibe could just be mud caked on the inside of your wheels, had that happen a few times to me
  6. Good to see someone else rockin the DL. Looks nice.
  7. http://usmb.net/gallery/album223?page=1 Here's the whole gallery, but the good ones were already shown.
  8. The Stocker did alright, nobody was following so we didn't have to worry about a Stalker. The problem was that i broke through the good hard pack and then my friend got high centerd in my ruts. Should've let him go first.
  9. are we talking about the propeller shaft? or the CV/DOJ axles? Just want to get everyone on the same page. The axles are different length, and the gen 2 prop shaft is a two piece, whereas the gen one is a one piece.
  10. Went down to the beach and then up to the hills on the Olympic peninsula EJ22 + Swampers + Low range > EA-82 + Street tires + Pushbutton Learned two lessons that day I need much longer tow straps and.. John needs to learn how to finess the clutch We had to leave his car out on the trail overnight to get longer tow straps, but once we had them we had the car out in two hours. Now he just needs a Lift (PK let me know when i can send money) and we've got wheels and tires waiting.
  11. Still runnin strong, one made the trip out from Detroit, to San Diego, then up to Seattle, the other is still cruzing around in michigan like a champ. I'm still really happy that i did the swap.
  12. Its actually Zip Code, i'm in Snohomish county, but don't need to meet the sniffer.
  13. Mine started like that, and now its teh better. don't let a single range discourage you, the GL D/R bolts right in.
  14. We have no yet installed the sway bars, but the trailing arms were used. this car will probably become an offroader, so the sway bars may stay off. John's call. I still owe you money don't I?
  15. Will Impreza pads work in XT-6 calipers, i recon they would be cheaper, and i can get better compounds for them too. anyone try this, or will I need to blaze the trail?
  16. Where would one find one of these fabulous front clips? And would we be so lucky to have them connected to a 5MT?
  17. To run WRX calipers you will need 16 inch wheels, although you should be able to run the Legacy knuckles/brakes/struts with the XT-6 lower control arm. In the rear you're gonna need all XT-6 parts though, just the hub/brake rotor, backing plate and caliper if you're not already disc back there.
  18. I'm in, But only if you promise not to get too frustrated when you spend the day pulling out my Subie with your Toy.
  19. I think i swore a few times, shhh don't tell.Next time there had better be beer though.
  20. Everything went real well, bleeding brakes is bleeding brakes, meh. the only part we had problems with was getting the piece that goes forward from the rear arm, the bolts did not want to let go, and after much frustration we were able to get two out, and the third got totally mutilated. Everything is good to go though, so thats nice. Soon we'll get him a lift and some proper tires and then the real fun will begin.
  21. Its been done, but i'd caution you that the stock brakes are woefully inadequate for stopping an EJ22T, with that much power i'd really suggest upgrading your brakes.
  22. I think either will fit, but the liquid rubber ones are spendy though, real spendy.
  23. If you suck in the Seafoam through a vacuum line, then you 99% won't hydrolock it, i've never had it happen and i've done it coutless times.
  24. Good call, that is an important piece of the puzzle.
