  2. yep, meant that i'm swapping the whole tranny, not just the diff lock part. doin a complete driveline swap so pretty much rx internals, wagon externals Andrew
  3. gonna be gettin an 86 turbo wagon with dual range and i have an 87 rx full time with center diff lock. any input on what all i need to swap over for the diff lock to work? i know there's that little box of four things on the drivers side of the firewall, anything else? Andrew
  4. the rx is a damn safe car especially if you roll it while offroading.... like i did. had to turn it off when i was upside down if that tells ya anything about these engines.

  7. i yanked the spare tire support heat shield since i don't have a spare in there anymore since i'm in the process of a tmic. when i upgrade the turbo and get a new downpipe i figure i'll wrap it in one of those cooling wraps. wouldn't that do the same job as a heat shield?

  10. which connectors are you speaking of since i think thats part of a problem on mine as well. are they the ones that pull the codes from the ecu?

  12. won't be able to make it this saturday if i don't get the car runnin again. backfired a lot and suddently died..... BAH
  13. drivin around today the rx started backfiring like none other and wouldn't go above 3 grand, then stopped and wouldn't turn over..... any ideas?
  14. runnin the rx and the pugs are 14" and tires are a little bit bigger than the stock ones that i had on there. slight rubbing. oh and is it alright if i just show up with the $30 since the person hasn't emailed me back yet.....
  15. replaced the temp sensor and knock sensor off another engine that i have, still has codes being pulled for em. how do i test these different sensors? is there an amount of resistance that i need to find?
  16. pulled the codes on my turbo and it popped up 21 22 23 (coolant temp sensor or circuit, knock sensor or circuit, air flow meter or circuit) could all of these be related since they all popped up when i replaced my engine and its been running like crap, bogs down at times and others runs just fine is there one circuit that could just be outawhack or do i need to replace all these things? i also have to depress the accelorator all the way and crank it for about 5 seconds before it turns over and runs
  17. i had fogs like you had at first (tiny guys) that got ripped off incredibly quick, so if that happened to small guys....... can't imagine what would happen to those giants. looks good by the way i've got the same set on my rx
  18. nice find. i was lucky and had stock fog lights on my rx, but the switch is now hooked up to my hellas up front. too bad it didn't have fogs cause that would be sweet

  20. i've got an ic laying around in my garage that i need to put on the rx. anyone know of anywhere around the bothell area that would be the best place to go to get some 90 degree bends and such and a reducer? Andrew
  21. new intake and exhaust oem gaskets as well. i'll try the pcv valve since i just got a new one.
  22. ya resealed the passenger side with an oem head gasket. go for a seal on the other side? maybe swap heads again?
