  8. Jerry to; me that you use an 84+ea81 fly wheel an 85 six spring ea82 friction plate and an 84+ pplate did you get the kit from him if so then you use the 81 shifter if not than you use the 82 shifter[with the ea81 trans crossmember with the 82 trans bushing on it all three and your right on with the washer shims hope this helps quote=Jibs]What have other's done with Jerry's 5 speed kit as per the clutch? I know I need an ea82 clutch disc, but are there any other ea82 clutch stuff I need to get the Brat rollin? Any tricks or anything? Jerry told me to use 2 lock washers on the bolts for the starter cause the ea82 starter needs to stick out 90 thousandths more, but anything else? OH - I use the ea81 4wd shifter right? BTW - Jerry's kit is AWESOME!
  9. Ok that settles it unless some one else has another outlook Thanks
  10. OK so I have a 5 speed D/R gear box and a 5 speed full time box with the locking center diff. My question is wich should I use for my lifted brat currently i has an ea81 with a webber and cam but it is going the route of the 2.2 This car is built for the trails and wont see much pavement Also I am running a LSD Any input would be awsome Thanks
  11. You need the large ea81 fly wheel ,pressure plate Then you need the friction plate from an 85 ea82 with six springs use the ea82 clutch fork and throw out you have to mount the ea82 trans mounts to the ea81 crossmember And I believe that you need a drive line made and 46 inches of tubing would work (brastarus1) will know fo sure on drive line lenght Brats are us( jerry) makes a kit for it you should get a hold of him and see if you can work it out
