some peopl just take out the bell house bolts axels and disconnect the drive line and cross member slide the trans back with it on a floor jack gives you limited space to work plus you almost have to take oss the same amount of parts I suggjest that you just take trans out pm me your phone number and I can give my way

Hey Man I used to live in whitefish I was there almost all summer floating in the bob and in the greatbear Had to go to the Northern for good fresh beer and of course the bulldog for those sweeet burgers. But any way I have live on the kitsap penisula for about 5 years now and I gota tell ya there is a lot less rain here than in montana back in the day but now its diffrent there here i would agree with ed squiem is going to be the ticket for no rain and acsess with out driving three hours( OLY park and mtns ) The biggest diffrence that I noticed is that when it rains there are still cloud breaks so you get to see the sun all year not just in the summer I can not remeber it getting socked in for two months with the gray like it does in the flathead valley But if you want to ski or have easy acsess to endless woods stay where you are snow sucks here unless you go to canada or Mt baker there are many reasons why squiem is good and bad it bepends on what you do for mula and if you have to travel cause the hood canal bridge can be a *************** some times Well I know its kinda scattered (no coffee yet)but feel free to pm for any questions or conserns LT -

total height change not to much probably an inch I used 1/4 in steel for new bracket mounts I removed the origanal seat brackets and just attached to the 1/4 inc steel u shaped stock directley to the seat and then to the suby brackets I am 6'1 or 2 and I have no problem with head room I did have a set of outback leather buckets and they were really high so I think It really depends on the seats -
bump No one else huh? Also shady I need to change from an ea82 high clearance to an ea82 moderate clearance for the 1992 wagon thanks LT

I have to say that the Toyota 4 runner seats (93 or 4) that I put in my brat Are pretty sweat ajustable Headrest , Lumbar,Under your knees and on both sides of your torso. They are some work getting in but its definetly worth it once your on the road no movement in the seat while rallying and I drive to the flathead valley in Montana its about ( 8-10) hrs and no butt knumbing affects:banghead: You should check um out LT -

HEY ALL, Ok so heere is my new problem 86 4wd wagon carbed (NOT EFI) 5speed D/R She runs but really rough, plugs wires, air filter, cap, rotor, and fuel filter new Timing set @ 8 degrees BTDC feels like vacume leak but cant find one So you get in fire it up and she runs but motor bouncing around in compartment after it warms up it smooths out Then you get in and drive and you romp on the throttle and it just goes blah for a few seconds then it slowly picks up speed until it oens up @ 2200 rpms back fires when shifting soooo? The only thing that i have found that remedes this is I put the timing @ 20 degrees BTDC and it still has a dead spot but runs 10 times better but still back fires while shifting Plus I really dont think that it should be timed this far out Any Ideas Thanks LT

Oh yea what about performance aspects because its non turbo?
-
AH hA so are the axel bigger on both ends ( do I have to switch rotor and hub as well?
-
WHAT its raining @ your house ??? Thats impossible HAHAHA Yep its a manual turbo wagon push button 4wd And not posative on gearing and the tag is missing from the rearend Im going off what the person who had it told me (but he was kind of a dumb *#% but here is the problem got the trans out of the 88 efi wagon and put the 86 gl-10 turbo trans in the 88( both 5 speed push button 4wd) but the axels wont slide over thr trans splines so I guess there diffrent? or am I the dumb #*% thanks LT
-
Ok so i found an 86 gl-10 with a turbo with 3.7 gears and a push button 4wd so im thinking of pulling the tranny and rearend and putting it in to gramies car that is a non turbo. it has 3.9 gears will I have to change any axels or any thing or will the trans and rearend go right in? Also will the gear change make a big diffrence since its a non turbo Its my gramies car so performance is not a super important aspect. Thanks LT
-
Yea Thats what I thought but Turbones post threw me off I think that it just ggot confused
-
Ok not wheel bearing defenitly coming from trans any other ideas if not Refere to market place post wtb for speed push button Thanks all for your help
-
ok off to check wheel bearings.
-
Ok I think that there is some confusion here Ilooked at two 4wd 5 speed trannies and I could not see any "innie bolt" now if your talking rear diff than yes they have been checked
-
off to look again
-
Well the three bolts are on the same case as the distick so thats not them I could not see any bolts on the 4wd part just sensors for the dash cant find seperat filling holes checked the rear diff levels also all levels correct and still shes wineing
