Forget about useing the radio or Get an aftermarket cd plyer with install kit found at any local hifi shop or keep suby one for cd player pull it out of the dash and pull the screws out of the bottom of the cassette plate and dump the pennies out, or get XM all would work just depends on your capabilites. Most tock stereo's or not worth the price you could get a SUPA sweet aftermarket CD player for 600$ or down to 120$+ install +kit Good Luck

Hey I STAND CORRECTED this is awsome now I can rebuild them both for 60 bones SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! DISREGUARD WARNING ON EBAY CARB BUT LINKAGE IS STILL IN THE WRONG SIDE BUT SOULD BE EASY TO FAB -
HEY FOUND THIS CARB ON eBAY TODAY hERES THE PROBLEM i CURRENTLY HAVE TWO OF THESE CARBS(IN HOPES OF PUTTING THEM ON MY HATCH) The carb is from a ford escort of festiva and some chevys they were replacement carbs for the stock apps, I called weber to try and find a rebuild kit and they no longer make it. I tried even the ford/chevy dealers and they had no input(as usaul) so if anyone is thinking of purchasing you might want to reconsider. once it goes youll never be able to rebuild it O yea the linkage is on the wrong side too If anyone knows any diffrent I would surly like to know so I can use the ones I have dft 11a 32x34 Thanks LT

I have 84 hatch the only rear speaker mounts I HAVE ARE ABOUVE THE REAR FENDER WELLS.(5.25) hERES WHAT i DID . yOU KNOW THE STORAGE COMPARTMENTS IN THE BACK NEXT TO SEAT ON BOTH SIDES I PULLED OFF THE WHOLE PANEL MADE A FRONT PANEL OUT OF MDF TO FIT PERFECTLY WITH THE EDGE OF HOLE . WITH A LITTLE SILICONE AROUND THE EDGES AND FILLING THE HOLE IN THE BACK SIDE THAT YOU RAN THE WIRE THRU AND SOME SPRAY FOAM TO PUT BEHIND THE ENCLOSUR AGAINST THE METAL BODY OF CAR ( THIS KEEPS THE METAL FROM RESINATING). YOU CAN SEAL IT UP AND YOU HAVE A NICE ENCLOSURE FOR A SIX IN SPEAKER ( COAX OR SEPERATES) I HAVE A SET OF MB QUART SEPERATES IT SOUNDS AWSOME. YOU HAVE TO PUT POWER TO THEM BECAUSE OF THE SEALED ENCLOSURE NICE CLEAN TIGHT MID BASS ALSO WORKING ON HIDDEN SUB FLOOR FOR 10 IN SUB . SO YOU CANT SEE IT AND IT WONT TAKE UP ANY ROOM INSIDE HOPE THIS IS CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YA IF NOT FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME A CALL 206 842 5775 LT Woops wagon not hatch dis regared above. Ive seen six by nines in the back of the hatch on the wagon It looks like you could do this too My pesonal opinion I would never use a non round speaker ie.(6x9,4x7,etc) Why might you ask? well it has to do with a non round speaker sending a distored signal at any volume. So if you start cranking on it you risk damaging othe compontes. Mainly the amp. but if you just doing it for back ground noise any thing will work. Sorry Into audio just about as much as suby Its good thing they go well together after you seal, and deadin all that thin metal. LOL -

Hey all Its time for another retro question. OK did subaru in any of thier models offer a locker for the rear end if so what model is it? Do they have one with a locker for the front wheels incased in the trans and would the parts go into a 84 ea81 4wd dual range 5 speed with ea82 rear end? If I am, just dreaming (about stock subaru lockers) what or where might I find a solution for locking the suby Thanks LT

hey , just completed putting ea82 turbo rear discks on my 84 ea81 4wd hatch. I got the rotor, calipers, and baccking plate from a 88 turbo wagon. They went in like butta no grinding no beatig just fully bolt on. I completed the whole job in under an hour and a half with clean up hardest part was hammering the backing plates bacck to where they wear supposed to be after the Jy had there way with it.
