  1. I've looked at a few hardware stores, and they have several sizes but not the right size. Where do people get new pins? (I should add that this is a 4WD Loyale; EA82) Thanks.
  2. Thxs Kstretch55! If I go that way I'll check it out. In Rapid city now, runnin' smooth!
  3. Hey Fox, responding to your PM. Do you have a tire you'd want to part with? (or anybody for that matter!) I'd like to swap out the donut.
  4. Looks like the muffler could use a little muffler bandage. You should be able to find a variety of exhaust patching stuff at an auto parts store. As for the fenders... I know someone with an 81 Tercel who cut off the rustiest parts, sanded the edges and then riveted sheet metal to it. Then he pounded it out to the original shape. Alot of work, but it looks pretty badass now. Good luck!
  5. I'm going out to Seattle (from Milwaukee) tomorrow or the next day. Does anyone between here and there have a right side tail light for a Loyale wagon that they don't want?
  6. Connected the Green connectors, set the timing, now it runs alot better. Jumpy Tach is gone, but car still idles at 1100. Everything seems fine, though... THanks
  7. -Manual transmission (specs under the hood say idle should be 700 for both). -SPFI Found the connectors and will give it a try, but... Help on setting the idle? It seems pretty rudimentary, but my only clue is a poor drawing in a chiltons. (why couldn't they just take a photo!?) thanks
  8. 92 Loyale 4WD For the past month or so the tach has been jumping up and down at idle (500 to 1300). Fox said it could be a slack timing belt, but first I replaced disty cap (it was worn and corroded inside) and rotor and for a day the problem was gone; now it's back. Tried to adjust timing, but in that process found out that my idle is supposed to be at 700+/-. My idle has always been at 1100+/-. (i've had the car for a year and a half) What exactly is the process for inspecting and adjusting the timing? Do I set the idle before or after the timing? Plus, how do I set the idle? (I can only seem to find the set screw for the throttle right by the intake, and I'm not sure that's it). I've searched as thoroughly as I can and previous threads either don't have complete info or they seem to conflict with each other.
  9. Hello everyone! I've been driving my '93 Loyale for 5 mos now, and things are popping up. I need to put in a new ball joint on the right side, and I seem to be burning up some oil. The ball joint is no problem, but any ideas on the oil? Also, what's with the EA81/82 stuff? What does it mean, and how do I know which mine is? Thanks to anyone who can gently usher me into the jargon.
