My K&N re-useable filter came in the mail today. Snorkel in the works? stay tuned.

So I went wheeling with Marcus and Kevin. I drank a bit of water....well actually quite a bit of water, half my filter was soaking. Luckily Kevin had an extra filter and after a lot of high rpm idling it runs fine. On the way home i noticed the steering had a lot of play in it. I can describe it as turning my wheel back and forth 10 degrees both ways with no resistance or turning. It was a pretty scary ride back home. I figured I had just loosened the linkage since I replaced my OEM one with a gen 1 legacy link to go with the lift. When I got home I wiggled the linkage around and sure enough there was some play in it, the axle would turn a bit inside the linkage before it started turning with the axle. I tried tightening the nut down and snap. I snapped the bolt and the nut both in half. steering still has play in it but it easily drivable.

Marcus had a great idea to flip it. It spaces it down and gives me enough room that I need. Not as much stress on it.

As you can probably see I didn't get the full cool shape, with the oval in the middle SJR print deal. I received a block of steel that would have taken me 10 minutes to cut. Sorry if it comes across as harsh but it's the truth. Thanks! I'm not cutting them right away. But it is on my agenda. Just a rung. It sits pretty offcenter and isn't pleasing to look at. If I had the stock springs on still I wouldn't cut them, but since they are the Honda springs they are way stiffer. I jump on my rear bumper and there is little give in them. It shouldn't effect my payload much, nor the ride height. Believe me I wouldn't do it if I was sacrificing functionality. I just want to get it away from the back doors. It's too damn close.

Well it happened. I had the help of Marcus and my dad. Started around 9:30am and ended around 3:00am with our only breaks being to go to McLendons for more hardware. Sorry I don't have more pictures of the whole process, I would have never of finished if i took pictures of every step. Dropped the diff off. One of the first steps we took. You can see the red parts are the lift parts. The drop plate in the back and the spacers in the front. Done with the rear! I don't have any pictures of the lift pieces or process from the front of the car. I can crawl under it and take some tomorrow. Here are some pictures I took today while out on a drive. It drives a little different. The steering is off, but that's a given. The ride is quite a bit higher, I was turning lots of heads when I took it out today. And my shifter feels a little stiffer. Other than that I can't complain I love the raked look that It has right now. Might lop a few rungs off the rear springs though because it does look pretty wonky and offcenter. I love it! bigger mudflaps to come next.

1994 Loyale 4" SJR lift Accord rear springs 6 lug re-drill 14" wheels with 27" tires.

Lots of progress made today! Here's the beam we used to make the parts before any cuts were made. first cut! finished piece makes bolts easier to access. just cut one big circle in the middle, then cut it in half to make things easier. the parts we made. the whole kit hanging painted with 1 coat, sorry for bad picture but it's a pretty vibrant red. Planning on another coat since this one is pretty transparent. Now all that's left is to go buy the rest of the bolts and figure out a steering extension then it will go on!

Just ordered some parts for my 4" lift kit. Ordered from SJR. the 4" fronts, the 4" backs, and the diff lowering plate. I'm going to fab the rest of the parts with the help of my dad, shouldn't be too challenging.

Also maybe an aftermarket steering wheel. How do I go about changing the wheel? Know anyone with a quick release or something similar?

Hey I had a question about the seats in the Loyale. I wanted to get some aftermarket seats. Would STi or certain bucket seats mount up? Or would I have to retro fit them in? Does anyone sell adapters? Also wanted to look into getting a rear sway bar. How does one if those mount in and where do I get one?

Jes, these are 14's with 27" tires I believe.

This measurement might be a little off. But I'm somewhere close to 29.5-30 at the top of the rear. If my original was 28.25 these springs rock! I've noticed a significant change in the way my car handles and rides. I'll try to describe it. You know when you hit a bump in the road or pothole? how your car bounces up, then comes down pretty hard, then bounces a little more? These springs help minimize that. I noticed when I hit a bump the extra coils and more tightly wrapped spring help to smooth out the transition from hitting the bump. The car doesn't come down as hard as it used to and cornering is a bit more "sporty". Overall sweet little mod you can do in not too much time. Thanks to Jes for the info and Marcus for the idea!

Got them on! Sorry for the out of order pictures... Here's the Subaru strut with the honda spring on it. Here's the same thing but not on the car. My dad helping release the pre-load from the springs. Final result! looks higher! didnt measure what I had to start but it seems to sit higher.

Sorry, posting from my phone. Here's a link to the Honda spring on the Subaru tower. Not secured in yet.I still have some work to do. They appear to be the same size when compared side by side with Subaru spring+tower but I think the 2" lift comes from the compression. The Honda springs have more coils so they will compress less than the Subaru springs. the second link is a picture of the stock Subaru spring plus tower. Also you can see the spring that came off one. Not much time to work on Christmas Eve. Went to junkyard today and picked up some springs from the front of a 86 accord. According to Jes these will work. Can't get them out of compression tonight because I lack the required tool to decompress springs, and don't want to risk anything happening. I think I'm going to try to have these on tomorrow. The honda ones are the ones with orange marking on them, being compared to my stock ones with all the dirt on them stay tuned.

Tinted today! I ended up paying someone to do it just because of the lifetime warranty they offered. $200 and it was done in under 2 hours. View vs the windshield from the back And from inside Looks good in my opinion. I went for 15%.

So i got the bumper off! i didnt end up having to remove those nuts/bolts. It was just the line of screws from headlight to headlight. Here's a pic test fitting the blue, cut fenders that Marcus let me borrow till i get my lift. I was rubbing really bad on every turn. Now i only rub a little when i hit a bump in the back. Here's a picture of the car with both fenders on. I left the grill out. As you can see, the light shines through the plasti-dip at night. I just like it during the day.

the last 2 nuts that secure the fender in are under the bumper cover.

If I'm not mistaken the bolt side is behind a few pieces of metal. I'll check for that but I'm pretty sure I can't get to it without getting in too big of a mess.
