  1. I've also been curious about doing this. Just picked up a brat and wanted to do a rwd. I'd have to pull the tranny and do some mods to it for it to be reliable?
  2. If its a 4wd model the only thing I could think of would be to pull the front 2 axle shafts and click it in 4wheel?
  3. I'd cream if i could get this thing running easily. Yup. when I get back in town first thing im gonna do is tow it to my garage and get down on it.
  4. I bought the car. $275. I don't think I paid too much.
  5. awesome! yeah, i would love some help figuring out why it won't run.,another issue is the rusted out rockers. I'm about to head off to vacation but It should be at my house when i come back from my trip around june 27th. I'll PM you
  6. I pulled the money to buy it today. It's got some rust on both the rocker panels. Interior is mint though. Hopefully soon we'll see a new post under members rides with the brat! Also we took a battery and the engine does turn over. There's hope!
  7. I think the owner mentioned something about motor mounts being lose and that maybe contributing to it? maybe something shook off?
  8. looking at buying this brat tomorrow. Owner said it just died while driving one day. since then it's been sitting for awhile. battery is dead now. What could make an ea81 die while driving? I don't know much about the ea81, but i know enough to know it's not the timing belts . 89k original miles. auto. a few more pics because im excited
  9. well it still leaks, it still has a loss of power, but it idles a little lower. It just has to last me till the end of summer then im off to college. Maybe after a year at college I'll come home an EJ swap. then take it to college. thats my plan, at least.
  10. Alright hold onto your pants.
  11. Sorry I couldn't make it! Sounds fun.
  12. Im not going to make it. Was running today. Parked. 5 minutes later tons of oil and antifreeze pouring out. Maybe next time.
  13. I'm gonna play this one by ear. Just got my car back up and running today. Marcus might be coming. I'll ask him. I've got a busy day tomorrow, I'll post up tomorrow night. I am planning on making it
  14. here's where it's leaking from If my description was unclear.
  15. My D/R is leaking fluid from the drivers side input stub. Probably from banging on the axle to to get it in the hub. Do I need to take the tranny out to replace the seals on the stub? would be nice not to have to yank the whole tranny. pics would be nice. any info is appreciated.
  16. Doesn't seem like a bad idea. Except my wagon is my daily. Can't have it down too long. Maybe during college.
  17. Axles ticking, all sorts of fluids leaking, idling at high rpm, barely starting, loss of power. The wagon is down for now. Wanting to make it to walker on the 8th but I don't know If I will be able to I'm a bit overwhelmed with my car.
  18. I remember seeing these posted somewhere else. What's the big deal about em? why so cheap also?
  19. That would be stinky. The splines looked fine when I pulled the knuckle. Still something I'll have to go over though.
  20. How does the rotor bolt to the hub other than the castle nut on the axle? it has to spin right? Or is there bolts in the middle?
  21. The spacer is in there. It was wobbling around inside there when i was putting the axle in...dont really know my problem.
  22. I thought maybe that was the case too. But the brakes cleared when i took em apart. The rotor was a bit wobbly though. Probably just because the axle is not in and tightened down ?
  23. It's not just noise. It's HARSH squealing and clunking and popping. I'm going to have subruise look at it soon. I don't enjoy it
