  1. I have one, I can make it work after some thinking and tinkering with the settings. If I ever have a question of what all the settings on it do I can call my dad... he is an electrical engineer
  2. had one in my GL... make sure you change seals and belts and stuff. you likely will have to use your existing block and junk off your old engine. Basically take the JDM engine, reseal it, and put on your exhaust and intake. I got 100K HARD miles out of mine before I blew it up.
  3. yes WD40 is the way to go. I had a lexan brat body with tape goo on it and acetone started to cloud it. whipped out the WD40 and it took it right off with minimal effort. I just let it soak in for afew minutes.
  4. another thought/idea Do the organizers get any $$ for their time invested?? I for one would be happy to chip in afew bucks (aside from the entry fees and stuff which support the show itself) for all the time they spend.
  5. change ALL the rubber hoses... or the car will leave you on the side of the road too. They tend to get brittle after all those years.
  6. another key MAY fit if its close enough and your car has enough miles. The key to my old GL fit Caboobaroo's GF's former GL as well. so try a similar vehicle key (dont waste your time trying an STi key), find a GL or brat key or something... maybe even some older nissans. If you can get in I seem to recall there is a lock code on the passenger door lock cylinder. Also... maybe the previous owner left a hide a key on your car... check the engine bay and wheel wells (there are some good spots up on the front frame rails)
  7. I want my title back (though I dont check and post drunk anymore)
  8. Is the camping area accessable by "normal" Subarus?? (like my baja... I wouldnt want to wheel it, just camp out and hang with people)
  9. it could be a bunch of little warranties too.... when I sold kias we had a 20 year 200,000 mile powertrain warranty for a while. Basically the you had to service the car on time every time at our dealer to get it. and techinically kia picked up the first 10 years 100K anyway.... So everytime you came in for service they basically warrantied it for the next 3 months 3000 miles (to next oil change or service due) Pretty much worthless in my mind... especially once the dealer collapsed after I left
  10. I had 1 on each of my 2 brats.... 2 more accounted for
  11. its a DL... let it go unless there are some good parts to harvest off it.
  12. I second these... I would take it to fixmysuby first, and mttech second (just based on my experiences... have more with fixmysuby)
  13. if it was turbo automatic it would have only been single range 4WD I'd rather pay $1000 for a carbed manual brat than $500 for an auto turbo... though it has the right crossmember to swap a WRX powerplant to
  14. Tick Of Death When an EA82 is ticking like time bomb and sounds like its going to explode. Its rarely harmful, just very annoying
  15. I am pretty sure I have seen dual moonroofs with a 5 speed... very rare but I swear I've seen 1 or 2
  16. wow very nice... I bet you could get a pretty penny for it on e-bay if you sold it
  17. for the amount of work to swap a loyale... just to have an unreliable engine... switch to an EJ22 from a wrecked legacy or something...
  18. thats not a 98... at least not the front picture. its likely a 2002 2.5 TS wagon... well some pictures are....
  19. my GL used to eat cone washers.... I seem to recall that the axle nut was too loose.
  20. The fact that he is busy enough to not have enough time for people just to stop in (and the pictures of the final result) sure adds to reasoning that he is good. Hmmm wonder if he could convert my baja seat to a legacy seat....
  21. if you would have brought the multicolor one to the show you would have won highest mileage
