on an engine stand... cake. WAY easier (in my opinion) than an EJ (I could not figure out how to get some of the front stuff off an EJ) Then again I'm biased as I have had a ton of EA82's In the car, especially lifted it wouldnt be fun.

Lift kit for Loyale Wanted.

mmm uber rare factory 2 tone loyale -
I am with GD on this... while I have not done this repair it makes a TON of sense. You are saying you are having trouble removing the spacers... so we have established they arent going anywhere... why not incorporate them as part of the solution?!? Its that much more meat for the threads to grab on to.

This one I would say the MAIN thing to make sure the car doesn't leave you stranded is to try and find out when the timing belts were last done. It wont hurt the car WHEN they break, but you will either be fixing them on the side of the road or calling AAA :-\ The heater fan issue is likely due to the resistor in the passenger footwell (behind the glovebox) missing some stages... I think we have all changed an EA82 blower motor resistor

Where to buy 185/80/13 tires?
Flowmastered87GL replied to eulogious's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Walmart is evil Les Schwab should have the tires in that size... may cost a little more but their service is hard to beat (always easy to find one if you get a flat or something....) -

What about the Justy CVT.... THAT is the worst tranny subaru ever made.... the 3AT is the second worst -
that must be putting so much strain on the wheel bearings and other components under there....

85 brat front bumper and hood
Flowmastered87GL replied to sam turner's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
they should, just be aware that 82's had the antenna on the other side. And some models had the chrome bumper and some had the black bumper.... try and get parts from the same style as yours to be safe (like a 4 headlight car with a black bumper for example) -
Very likely you could find someone on here who could do them way cheaper than a shop. Just need a floor jack, spring compressor and some basic tools. I have a trusted shop here in Portland that I would likely have do it for me, but if I didnt there is no shortage of members in town who I am sure who would do it for afew hundred bucks and a few beers.

93 loyale oil pan plug stuck.

if you do get it out you may want to install either a new plug or even one of those easy drain plugs that you just open a valve.
