  1. clifford the big red dog subaru won it with 355,981 i think. second place was the smart service legacy with 355,7XX i think... I forget who was third, possible dave with around 326K Yes I was judging that class and sponsored the trophy
  2. I tried to find a picture from the movie road trip... of the school for the blind bus, but couldnt... I assume it looks similar to this though...
  3. I agree, some people pay good money for those bullet hole stickers... you got em bigger and for free!
  4. $1100 for struts?? find a better mechanic and keep the forester I'm sure someone on here would install them for a case of beer if you had the parts ordered and ready to go on
  5. thats a pretty neat idea... before even viewing I imagined a simlar thing but off of the BACK end of a brat. This is probably more maneuverable this way though.
  6. Coulda kept first name Carter and made middle name Weber... since we have Carter-Webers Already said congrats in NASIOC, but congrats on this end
  7. its kind of based out of a dealer, but like a different part of it, (I dont know the exact specifics) so you cant just walk into the dealer and ask for subarugenuineparts as legally the dealer is not them... or something like that... I would assume the same goes for the phone # there... you can call the dealer its AT, but not the website. in my opinion if the price is great, you may have to sacrifice a bit of communication abilty... keeps labor costs and therefore YOUR costs down.
  8. with my EA82 I also JB welded up the coolant area in the top of the intake. I seem to recall that I had to slightly grind down the tube that came in so the adapter plate could sit level as well. I also had toyed with plugging off the coolant line TO it at the source with a clamp and vacuum plug... it didnt work. I ended up inserting a metal stud the size of the coolant line into it and clamping it in the middle. Kinda to keep the coolant from ever reaching the JB welded part. Not going to promise this is the best way, but it worked well for me after numerous failures of other types while rallying.
  9. the original running gear deal is why my GL was never on there It blew what I was told was the second engine at like 212k. Hopefully I can get more out of my Baja
  10. I seem to recall that 20 gets closed in the winter. I go to Sedro Woolley twice a week but havnt been to colville in almost 2 years (hated going up there for dollar tree in the winter) I would suggest doing it when its thawed... it gets scary out there in freezing dark icy winter nights. I would suggest going past the grand coulee dam...just cause its so "dam" big. I took my truck past it one time in winter. Thankfully all the roads were clear as there was no shoulders anywhere to install chains.
  11. since the paint looks a little oxidized.... and the rims match... only 1 paint job fits those rims.... General Lee
  12. Missed you at the show But looks like a fun trip.... are you trying to run every road on your Oregon/Washington map?? (I wanna try that someday... highlight a highway once I run it)
  13. I need to start taking away points for having a black car ... give someone else a chance
  14. Glad the purse turned up Didn't we lose a sign another year too??? I think I remember Ken asking about it :-\ We need to hook it up to 220 volts
  15. Which by the way took highest mileage award ... 355981 I think??? Beat the Smart service car by like 221 miles I know cause that was one of the things I was judging...
  16. I didnt take these, but I was holding the lantern (I was 1 beer short on my Wizard staff to fight for grand master... I was at 11 and they were both at 12 here) This was going on at the Canadian end <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XXE0PBy5jA&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XXE0PBy5jA&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  17. I drove my truck at work (a freightliner with the headlights on and all the lights on a set of doubles) like 15-20 miles on the freeway with the alternator belt missing. (drove it to the shop rather than wait for a service truck) Made it just fine... then again I have 4 HUGE batteries
  18. looks neat but will the vertical parts in front of the headlights cause blind spots in your field of vision at night?? :-\
  19. How did it do with compression braking / regular braking with all that extra weight behind it?? The ute conversion looks sweet
  20. ya I had a heck of a time on my GL trying to twist them in. I think a front brake job took hours
