LSD 3.70 repro sticker ... a concern
Flowmastered87GL replied to baccaruda's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I think its a good idea. Regarding people faking diffs... someone could make a write up for the USRM describing how to know if you have an LSD on your hands or a rebadged open -
what other tires safley fit the pug 15.5
Flowmastered87GL replied to HATCHY's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Would you trust your lift to powdercoating holding your tires on? I hope not. And turning 1/4 inch off the rim would likely leave them thin and weak. Take em back or scrap em for $$ Or cough up lots of $$ for metric tires. -

for the initial testing of the door I dont see any reason why you would have to pull anything other than the door interior panel. even if you have to change the regulators / motors inside I dont see why the doors would have to be removed. -

I'm in town.... look for my license plate (over there... its my avitar) Easiest way to troubleshoot the windows I think it pull the door panel, hook up a battery straight to the window motor... if it moves then the switch is likely the culpret. If not then its the motor. -

Can you drink in the back of a brat?
Flowmastered87GL replied to milkman111083's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
You may not consider it IN the vehicle... but its what the officer thinks that counts :-\ Personally I wouldnt try it. If you wanna drink in the back at least be in stealth mode... have your beer in a thermal mug or something. -

Passing capabilities?? My GL could only pass large trucks, bicycles and pedestrians -
or... perhaps its the same person... they got like 50 replies for the first post... so they lied and said it was sold and jacked up the price. Then they got 20 for the next post.... so they lied again and jacked up the price again.... all they need is 1 sucker to buy it the 3rd day. I say flag the ad

had fun with chalkboard paint
Flowmastered87GL replied to The Scooby's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Maybe try getting another tank.... like a headlight washer tank off an XT6. Then use the pump from that to feed the OTHER 2 washers. Then you have a dual tank, dual pump 4 nozzel setup! -
Got one (see avatar) Personally I dont think a petition would help. Everyone WANTS one, but who wants for fork over $25K for something... Remember the newest thunderbird? people said build it... well it flopped.... ditto with the GTO. And kinda the same with the baja. They built it, its a great vehicle, but it was not marketed at all.

3" Plastic Body Lift Blocks for a Pickup on a Subaru??
Flowmastered87GL replied to subystomper's topic in Off Road
what about all the bolts?? There are 2 ways to bolt everything back together. If you have pass through blocks, you bolt the block onto the body with the stock bolt and use another bolt to attach the subframe to the bottom of the block. Or you just use longer bolts to go from the subframe to the body THROUGH the block. Either way... dont skimp on bolt quality. -
OT scissor jack post
Flowmastered87GL replied to Txakura's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
they are good tools, but I really dont trust em except for emergency reasons to actually jack up the car. The one that came with my GL stripped out and I think I had Ed grab me one from a nice low mileage wrecked GL. -
crash test BRAT video
Flowmastered87GL replied to bheinen74's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I was thinking that too... like some dummy 10 year olds or something... to see how badly children could be injured in them. -
Interesting.... Here in the US all our legacies are 2.2 liters, But dont have the dual range AWD Easiest HP gains will be freeing up the intake and exhaust some.

I would replace all the bulbs period back there (the backlighting ones i mean) I had a 91 legacy and only 1 of the backlight bulbs worked. And half the idiot light bulbs had been pulled too. I ended up pulling bulbs from a known good low mileage cluster and moving the bulbs to the high mileage cluster and reinstalling it (I am too honest to just swap to the low mile cluster) So basically, if you have run your headlights alot, expect the others arent far behind so do em all while you are in there. (kinda like why you do headlights in pairs)
