  1. if I recall correctly my 86 GL-10's digidash worked in forward AND reverse and had the cool MPH/KPH conversion button.
  2. As far as the durablity of the car its hard to beat. a 5 speed and 2.2 liter is about as tough as you can get.
  3. Try leaving off the air filter top... my 86 GL died when I tried to drive it... when I moved across town I had to turn up the idle and leave the top off the air cleaner to help let the excess fuel evaporate... made it across town without flooding! Then I swapped out the carb. Fixed the problem. If you see a waterfall of fuel dumping into the carb when its running... that may be the issue as my 86 would die when I gave it gas.
  4. I have taken afew things to richie and even bought a car off him before. I would recommend him
  5. IF it feels jerky in corners... likely its in 4WD.... there is no center diff so it will start to bind up if its on a high friction surface.
  6. I liked the idea of trying that, but when I installed my GL-10 seats in my GL I had the extra materials to experiment. In an EA82 the seats WILL fit. However... you will have about 6 inches of legroom if I recall AND the seat will essentially be on the floor, there is no footwell. (and I strongly recommend against using the smugglers box for footroom... its a crumple zone!)
  7. Also an ideal solution when you just cant find that 4th rare wheel for a complete set
  8. So Subaru gave me this neat coupon today... I guess they want me to trade my 2005 for a 2006 or something... or else they just want ANYONE to pick up the last of the 2006 Bajas. Its a $750 off coupon for new Bajas and its FULLY TRANSFERABLE! I only have one and its ONLY valid in AK, CA, ID, MT, NV, OR, WA and WY. If you are buying a new baja you can combine it with the factory rebate or financing. PM me if you want it and I'll mail it to you. ITs good through the end of October. I have this posted on other boards too. Priority given to speed, in a tie then given in order of how well I know the person. Afew select members that I know really well get priority above all else (I'm sure you know who you are)
  9. 99.5% (or so) of the gen 1 legacy wagons (90-94) are of the standard roof design. I believe only the 1994 GT has the raised roof. Other neat models besides the standard L, LS, LSi are: Alpine Sport, Sun Sport, GT, Touring Wagon (the turbowagon)
  10. I installed a GL footrest / dead pedal into a Loyale. The main reason I did it is to keep the drivers carpet from sliding around as it was loose.
  11. What you didnt take a picture of my baja next to Erik and Michael's gen 2 and 1 brats??? It was 3 generations together (all blue too!)
  12. $1500 for the 360 pickup. only 10,000 miles on it too
  13. Only picture of me that I have online..... I was driving the 2nd place in its class "NU BRAT" (the blue baja) I was the one with the BIG free pile (XT seats, door, bumper, fenders, box of assorted parts....) And the rally tires and calmasters for sale.
  14. Try to get the least beat up one. The older ones come with the side steps, the newer ones dont... so TECHINCALLY.... only the ones with the sidesteps (came with stock jumpseats) are legal to put jumpseats back into... something to consider if you want to ever go that route. With the lift, trust me that little step is nice. 82's have a factory 3rd eye in teh grille, but the newer ones have the 4 headlight design which looks better and white guages and auto off headlights. It really comes down to.... get the one with the least rust.
  15. If you are running 4 lug... you can borrow my wagon wheels and hakkipellitas. (but you are responsible if you slice a sidewall) :-p
  16. Ohhhh doggy thats alot of miles. And I thought my 321K on my GL was high. Makes me want to buy another one just to keep racking them up. My engine wasnt untouched though :-\
  17. Hey thats kinda false advertising... note that it says in the description fields that it has 12000 miles. Then it LATER explains that it actually has 200,000 miles and the 12000 is just on the rebuilt engine.
  18. Why a 2007 and not a 2006? Rebates and finance offers are way better on 2006 models. (example I believe the 2.5i outback (legacy model) is 0% APR and $2000 cash back)
  19. If you go that route you will see The Dalles... where I grew up and like 4 out of every 10 new CARS sold is a Subaru
  20. Sweet... I hope they bring some prototype car or something. Freebies are always good too though.
