  1. I say stick with 11 AM I was thinking of some Valentines day dinner plans... im not dropping them for a get-together... so its lunch or nothing for me :-p
  2. Ya... I could show up with some $5 dominos pizzas (since I work there) and we could eat in the Peitros parking lot For those who want pizza... I may be able to get us afew if you dont want Mikes
  3. I have 282,500 miles on my 87 GL, non-original engine.
  4. Sounds good to me. Is it agreed that we do it at the one on 224 and Harrison St? (4 picnic tables plus the rear bumper of many soobs should be plenty of seating... definitely more parking room there)
  5. Hmmm not too sure about the coolant problems (my problem with my car is I cant find any drips, but it keeps vanishing!) But with the spare tire... not sure if it fits under the hood on a turbo... but with a non-turbo you can fit a regular tire under the hood. You may need to remove that little black thing on the tire mount.... (note: I have not tried this, the tire may not clear the turbo heat shield... if it doesnt, well I guess you are stuck using donuts. Sorry I dont have a donut to sell though , but I'm sure many people do )
  6. If you have your heart set on a carb I say 87's are the best. If you want the most reliable... 88-89 is probably best. If you want an off roader 81-84. Reason why I like the 87 over 85-86's green guages, wipers on steering column stalk instead of dash, headlights on turn signal switch instead of dash, better looking steering wheel (my personal favorite style, even over 88+ years) color keyed bumpers front and rear unlike 85-86 and loyales of 90+ there are some other reasons I am sure too, but thats just my opinion.
  7. Oh and I could probably manage lunch there, but dinner I have better plans for me and my "cluelesscarchick"
  8. I did a little scouting... the sellwood Mikes has a small lot (not much room at all, and NO overflow) but many tables. The one in Milwaukee which I first proposed has about the same size parking lot, but some dirt next to it and the railroad which we could house extra cars if tons of people showed up. They have 4 picnic tables there, but I would probably just sit in the back of my wagon anyway... So I once again re-propose the idea of the Harrison St. and Hwy 224 Mikes Drive In location. (In Milwaukee)
  9. Drunk sense is the best sense Sucks that the tranny swap didnt work out... I'm REALLY hoping on Monday when we fire up the Loyale that it works out ok. (been tinkering for like 2 months... I'm healthy, but just busy)
  10. I really doubt they ALL went out of business. They had some rediculous prices which Im sure paid alot of their expenses. They better not have... I have a year long prepaid membership
  11. I used to own the car. It is easily worth $2000. I gave you all the receipts when I sold it to you, hopefully that will help some as I have not seen another turbowagon with 180-190K as cherry as this one (and remember the engine was replaced before I got it) If you want to have the insurance company contact me for any verification of the cost of the car, or what I put into it prior to selling it to you I am more than happy to help. e-mail me at the_great_mikeholio@yahoo.com is there is anything you need (my address, phone #, whatever...)
  12. If you do part it then I think russ will want dibs on the hatch then. Cause his is in pretty sorry shape.
  13. Hmmm I guess I had better make sure my brat has the right clutch when I yank the engine. Dont want it slipping on the new buyer
  14. Yeah, you're probably right. The one in Sellwood would be better. More seating is a plus!
  15. The Mikes Drive In on the corner of Hwy 224 and Harrison St. in Milwaukee (by the Dominos where I work) has a halfway decent sized lot. There is some room in the gravel (kinda of an unpaved overflow area) too (not rugged enough to have any fun in though , but smooth enough that Imprezas could park there )
  16. My volts go down a bit when I get down in the 700 RPM range (the red lights DONT come on though) The voltmeter moves a bit with the turn signal flashing too. Its always done it, even when my 5 year old battery was new and with my hitachi alt, and my 3 autozone ones since that one blew. If its SUPPOSED to do that I am unsure. But I dont worry about it. I just made my idle 1200 or so
  17. Russ (caboobaroo) is gonna be jealous of that nice unmolested rear hatch Nice score... me thinks it needs an EJ22 and FWD tranny
  18. Sure, but can we make it in Oregon this time? Actually it doesnt matter too much to me where it is, I just need to know enough in advance to get the day off cause I usually work weekends.
  19. For a northwest car it sounds ok... None of the cars up here have rust I would say to revive it... gut it, weber it and rallycross it If you could get it down here, I would revive it, but I need to finish my other cars first
  20. I purchased 15X7 wheels from Les Schwab (white wagon wheel type) I have yet to pick them up from John (sorry john I'm trying to use my free time to get my loyale up and out of Jasons garage first) but they should fit. They have a little more offset than some stock toyota wheels ive seen. I am no expert here, just letting you know what I was told to purchase.
  21. After the way my 86 GL-10 turned out (we put in in just a throw out bearing and a clutch disk) I agree with Russ in that its a good idea to get the pilot bearing too (mine squeaked pretty bad in Neutral)
  22. I am still cool with $30 as long as we can get more than 3 runs in Ever hear what they pay out in Maine? My friend Otis runs his Maxima out there and its like $40-50 I think
  23. correct me if I'm wrong, but I belive Prestone bottles say what temp they are good til in different ratios. I think something along the lines of 70% coolant and 30% water is good til like -86 degrees. (Please check the bottle to make sure!!) I run 50-50 in my car, but then again it doesnt get as cold in Portland.
  24. I'm sure online alot over the past 2 weeks huh I should be now again though, I finally got moved into my new place. I believe I sent you a PM about what I did to my car. If not feel free to ask away
