So according to my reading peugeot wheels have the proper offset to run about 27x8.50's with 2" of lift and no fender chop. I can't find pugs but I do have a set of wheels off a toyota pickup and am considering doing the 6 lug swap, but would like to know what the offset is so I don't have to chop my fenders, and if I need to find different 6 lugs I can. Thanks in advance, Tom

Mounting fog lights to 3rd gen bumper?
Tman1058 replied to SmashedGlass's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I made brackets that clip onto the cut outs in the back of the bumper metal. And then they bend and go under the little metal strip under the grille, and my lights are mounted to that. That way you can take them off and you don't have holes in your bumper. -
I've got a '87 wagon, and want more power, what does an ej swap entail? I'm thinking go ej22. What all parts will I need? Any idea on cost of new parts? And if there is a good swap thread that you know of could you leave a link please? I know I'm asking a lot, but really any answer to any of the above questions would be awesome. Thanks, Tom

Not exactly what I work looking for, I was wondering about the fiberglass ones like you see on pickups.

I've seen a couple l series Subarus around this forum with sunvisors on them, like you see on Toyota pickups and the like. I was wondering if anyone knew what visor people were using on these and how hard they are to get to fit. Thanks in advance, Tom

I have a stock 87 carbed wagon, and want to put bigger tires on it (I'm in the process of building a 2" lift.) Does anyone know about how much fuel mileage changes with bigger tires? Right now I'm getting about 21 mpg running regular unleaded. Thanks, Tom

This is similar to what I'm looking for

As for weight, if I think that it will be an issue, I can always build it out of thick aluminum, to maintain strength and lighter weight

So i've been flipping through many threads on here, just to look at bumpers on gen 3 cars. I'm looking to build an offroad bumper with a winch in it for my 87 wagon, I want a push bar/baja bar style bumper. All that said, post up pictures of your bumpers to inspire me please. Thanks, Tom

dual range swap into loyale?
Tman1058 replied to Tman1058's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
What do you do with the 4WD button? And does it just plug in so your 4WD light still works right? -
dual range swap into loyale?
Tman1058 replied to Tman1058's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
It's a 1993 loyale if that helps. -
I'm looking at buying a loyale with push button 4wd and a 5 speed, and if I get it, how hard is a dual range 5 speed swap? Any input is appreciated Thanks, Tom

I live in a small town in north idaho, and at our fuel pump we have 82 & 85 octane that's 10% ethanol, and we have 92 octane that's ethanol free

Thank you, tweety, for keeping us on track. I do not want to do an ej. I have an ea82 sitting on my shop floor, and I don't have an ej, it's as simple as that. I will be the first to admit that the ej swap is pretty cool, but I don't want to be that guy. Just because everyone else is doing it does not mean that I wish to. Anyways, i've been doing some thinking, and I think a pull through with a toyota previa supercharger and side draft weber(s)... what you guys think? Again all opinions are appreciated, but I would like to keep the ej talk to a minimum. Thanks

Hey, so I just got an '87 Wagon, and I'm thinking that it needs some lift... I'm thinking 1 1/2" lift, to take it easy on axles. Should I do 1 1/2" or just go to 2"? Has anybody done a 1 1/2" lift, if so can I see some pictures (of how you lifted it and the car once done). Your opinions are appreciated, Tom

Two things 1. This isn't a time traveling DeLorean 2. Even if it was it would still need a internal combustion engine (or a train to push it) to get up to 88 mph... Mr. Fusion only produces power for the flux capacitor to work

Hey all. So here's the background, about a year ago we got a parts car for my dad's old '86 gl liftback, which is also an '86 liftback, we robbed the motor and tranny out of it for the other one, and now we have an extra ea82 sitting on our shop floor, that is in dire need of a rebuild... (you can feel the good hole hit). Any way, my brother and I think that the parts mobile should become our wheeler... that being the case we need to rebuild the engine. What I'm thinking is build the ultimate ea82, so I'm thinking run ej high performance pistons, Delta cams, etc. So please everyone leave cost aside, because I'm just looking for opinions, post what parts you would do, and why.
