  1. Ej fuel pump relay is hooked up... tach dosent work with the digi dash and I'm gonna have to reread the ej sway thread on here somewhere... for the cel... I don't want to cut up the origional uarness much as would like to be able to return it to stock... ill post a pic of the bad furlsr in a sec... it wasn't obvious till I pulled it out what happened bit it wasn't even tight... I went and grabbed another from the wrecker today just got back... the ej ecu it set up so I can just unplug it and pull it all from the engine bay along with tue engine... the only thing that is hooked to switched 12v when key on is the electric cooling fan... I onew this wasn't gonna be a piece of cake... but not a pita!

They are all in a switched power.... the switch is on the dash... its seperate from the ignition as to not draw to much power fron the ignition switch... but nothing in this setup uas a constant 12v... I was care ful not to do that as i could have a dead battery on my hands out in the middle of nowhere
  3. Oh I see thanks... and does anyone know how to run on from the ej harness I do not have one hooked up but that may be kinda nice if anyone can help that would help me have move faith in my subi again
  4. G loyal... I apologize for my incoherant messages... i I tend to panic when my ej swap is stuck at a gas station in hilltop in tacoma... I did what you said and it was a wire or fuse thing under the hood in a little box...a little black thing... is there a reason why it may be heating up?... car is how... thanks for helping me think simple again

Stupid question... what is a cel... not familar with the term... bit the ecu is hooked to and independant switch on the das and all power runs to that swith it is independant of the oem ignition switch... and if I uplug the ecu.. tue fel fump dosent run and the digi dash wont work... the only reason i cant start it is because the fuel pump wont operate if there was a way to fix that ut would run...im sure

Recently swapped in an ej22 took it for a first drive today... seemed to be functioning fine then I shut down and now nothong works... its like no power to the eom ecu but the ej ecu is working fine... if I could get a push botton start and somhow get the fuel pump to run I'm sure it would run... the hot side of the pump is commected to the ej fuel pump relay... how do I ground it or can I?

  8. Paid 200 for mine... but it wasn't anywere as nice as yurs os... great score... bought mine just befor winter as a winter beater and now hate my 94 camaro z28...congrats on the car
  9. Completly canabalized my 93 sedan for an ej22 that was swapped into it to drop in my gl10... that is finished and the gl10 is now non turbo but blparts are now common and easy to get... sedan is being parted out in the parts section... lots of mods on that thing...lol
  10. I've had this post banging around in my head all day... I was thinking... sometimes igition switches can cause weird starting or no start issues... even it other things still work ir its not obviously broke... I would find I used switch and plug it in ...it couldn't hurt I guess... ignition swithes can make things act all kinds of funny ant a moments notice but also could show symptoms... its not to common but not rare either
  11. What do you mean by under the glass? Mabey a stupid question... but I didn't see a place for adjustments. And does anyone have the slide cove for them.... or was there evn on... it wasn't there when I got the car but think there are rails for it... blue would be best if anyone has a spare thanks for the help. And I may be interested in the glass at some point... it spidered from my head hitting it but its not broken yet

Ok so wanted to be able to keep track of my biuld for this car... this is a 86 gl10 turbo 5mt full time fwd w diff lock orange digi dash and rear discs... yes it origional... a guy at the subi dealer says its a very rare modle. I don't like rare but she is still kicking Bought it in 2008 as a family car because I was having my first kid and I didn't want to get rid of my camaro z28..( this car has made me come to hate my camaro). Paid 200 bucks flat but anyways it was a rally car for pacific rally group it ran and drove at least knocked and ticked and the front was all smashed up ... it was emerald gree with a spongebob on the hood... I found a parts car got the front end fixed paid 100 for the broken car and scrapped it for 200 , fixed the no charging issue... worn harmonic balancer bushing swapped to a solid one from the tb car... painted it flat black(ya that's the one as my user pic)... and it has always fired up no problems yes it always knocked. And ticked ... but ran every time... this car had been through alot... Painted it white and drove it to montana and back 3 times at 80mph the whole way in 2011 it seen snoqalmie during blizzards both ways... and this car never skipped a beat... Its been 7 years now.. and I've looked into making a camping trip to a place my father took me to when I was a kid... I now have 2 little guys and I want them to see it to for my pops.... except... there is a river in the way!!! So that is what started my biuld... I cheated a bit and found a already swapped ej22 in a 93 loyal lifted... wiring was a horrific seen under the hood and the ecu was just chillin... I picked it up for 700 buck running driving and I drove it for a few monthes as a commuter befor I ripped out its heart and harness cleaned and straigned. Every thing... Then had to say fairwell to the old faithfull(I swear I can't kill it!) Ea82t. And I know some people may critisze for this swap but as to my knowledge... water and distributers do not mix well( I need to cross a river) don't worry a still uave everything to put it back. The car is now up and fired up after the second day of the swap... feels like it has more power than a turbo motor...( I actually think it does btw). Runs like a champ... no guages.. gonna run aftermarket manuals and use velcro.. I. Don't want to chop into the origional wire harness much. ... ill upload some picks soon of this car as it sit... Since I've bought this one.. I've owned 4 ea82 subis love some and canabalized others... 86 gl10turbo 90 loyal wagon 4wd 87 rx turbo 5mt 93 loyal sedan ej22 swap 2 in lift 30 in tires... it was alot of pounding and cutting Ill update this post as go along... feel free to offer up suggestions or criticizm... I don't melt in the rain so say what ya want just don't be to vulgar... iand I apoligize for grammer.. I'm using a small phone key board to write this...lol
  15. I was hoping I could find someone local... I'm tired of ducttape all year... the sunroof works it just wont seal... started after I jumped it and hit my head real hard on in and spidered the inner layer of glass now it just dosent line up at the rear driver corner.... depending on how far you are I may snag it but shipping on bulky stuff is killer Thank you though

  17. I was a vw guy befor subarus but can you just run switched 12volt to the coil? And try to start it... I don't see why it wouldn't work... just run a jumper from pos on the batt to the minus on the coil and see it it fires up... I doubt the ecu will like it but it should fire nontheless....
  18. Just want to figure out if anyone knows where I can get them if at all... or mabey someone has a whole window assembly laying around... rails and all... its summer I want to open mine but its washington so I wajt to be able to close it at a moments notice also...please help

  20. Also have a legit ea82t all complete... needs timed as I pulled the dist so I wouldn't break it it been run for about a month back and forth to work runs well thanks whoever it was on here that helped me with the pcv issue

Ok so I'm not sure if this is the right place to sell parts but I cheated on my ej22 swap and bought a already swapped 93 loyal to get my old turbo gl10 back on the road.... so I uave a few extra parts... I do not want to ship so locals only please... and yes every this was in a running driving car befor tue swap... 5 speed dual range trans Drive line K member Rack and pinion w tie rod ends Cv axels front... reas are toast front are new about a month old 2" sjr lift kit.. complete 3 15" toyota rims about 9 inch wide black and chromelip kinda rough w 1white older toyota rim. Tires are no good drilled for 4 lug Rear 3.9 diff...welded lock Struts front and rear wagon shocks (a little longer) Interior all good blue no rips but smell funky... dash board... Body panels are pretty shot and by this week end I may just shoot at tue car for giggles ask me for anything else... all I really wanted was the ej and wire harness... I guess hit me up here I'm new to the forum
