  1. When you pulled the motor did the round plugs get pushed together very tightly? I push the snot out of em and ziptie tightly.
  2. The exhaust bolts is really an easy repair on an EA82.
  3. Hello, My son did a similar thing to his Loyale. He overfilled it and sucked oil in through the PCV valve. It was bad and created all kinds goofy things. 1. Changed the plugs regardless. 2. Finally got it running and did the hose retrofit with the t's. At this time it was running rough but running. 1. Readjusted the TPS and throttle cable with the instructions found here. 2. Clean the MAF with carb cleaner which has been debated on this site. 3. When you overfilled it check that the oil did not get into the air cleaner cause it did on my kids car. Replace it. Let's go to charging. 1. Disconnect your battery and charge with an external charger. Once charged load test it. 2. Install battery and check your alternator output. It should be between 13.5 to 14.5. This can create all kinds of little issues with your car. Everything is controlled by Electric power and other things need to be checked if you have been running your car with low voltage. Ignition. 1. Pull your distributor cap. If there have been low voltage it creates excessive heat in the cap. Make sure the little button is burnt out. Check to make sure the 4 contact points aren't corroded or eroded from the excess heat. 2. If the above happened then check your coil also. If your car runs better check your timing. Set your timing at 20 degrees before TDC, I have walked down this road too.
  4. Does this happen even when stopped on a level surface?
  5. Reading your post is like Subaru porn to me...LOL. Love the idea!
  6. Well Guys, Check this out. Put a new coil and replaced the distributor cap with an aftermarket one from a different parts store. Thing fired right up. I adjusted the TPS. Plugged in the green connectors. Readjusted the timing. Turned the idle up a tiny bit and the Roo is alive! Thanks, Eric
  7. Thanks for responding Nut, I will barely start cold and won't start hot. The distributor is slid all the way to the clockwise position or it won't run at all either. Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello, So I rebuilt the motor and reinstalled it. Now it is hard to start but when it runs it runs pretty good? I think I need a new O2 sensor and fuel injector? Any ideas? Thanks, Eric
  9. Just by the resistor new. I went to pull and save North Spokane and pulled 6 and found 1 good one. It didn't look that good either. I used it anyway.
  10. There is a friend of mine who owns a machine shop that swears by HONDABOND.
  11. It really is not. Just requires a little patience and can be done with exhaust in place.
  12. So it still is not running? eh? Where you at now with it?
  13. Guess what I light 35 miles north of you....LOL. Did you get it runnin? Cheers, Eric
  14. This is very true. I worried about removing material from the pan so I took a ball pein hammer and flattened the bolt holes again. Every make a note. If SEALANT was used before the silicone will dry at the bottom of the hole preventing the bolt from going all the way in. You will see this and try tightening the bolts. The heads will break off or the bolt will break...........Just helicoiled 6 bolts from a common mistake. Just FYI. Cheers, Eric
  15. Subaru gaskets are a lot better quality than aftermarket. Just my opinion. Cheers, Eric
  16. Awesome idea. Think I will do one myself.....
  17. Hey Just for KIcks. Disconnect your main round harness plugs, blow out with air and push tightly together and ziptie. Cheers, Eric
