My drive shaft needs to be lengthened 6". I'v taken it to a few machine shops and no one will touch it saying it will never be straight enough.. Any ideas? This is for a 85 Brat with a 85 GL 5spd dr transmission swap.

Thanks guys! Looks like the linkages are totally different from the 4 to 5 speed.. IL try to rig something up as I can't even find the shifter for the 5 speed.

In the middle of my swap 86 Brat 4 speed to 5 speed and I can't find it anywhere online. 4wd lever is needed too. All help appreciated!

I'm in the middle of a EJ22T swap into my 86 Brat. I have a 85 GL 5spd DR transmission that did not come with a fork. I'm having a hard time tracking down said fork. I'm also using a flywheel and clutch from a 86 XT if that matters. Will a 90's clutch fork work with a 85 transmission? Or know where I can find the proper fork? Here's the 90's fork I can find. Ah figured out you can't the EJ Flywheel is way to big for the EA transmission.

Doing the swap now. Does anyone know why I can't use a ej22 flywheel and ej22 clutch on a EA transission?

I'm looking for a donor car for my Brat Ej22 swap. I read that the 99-01 version of the EJ22 has a bit more hp? Can anyone recommend what to look for?

Having a hard time finding the transmission to go into my 86 Brat with a EJ22 swap. I found a 5spd dual range manual from a 88 GL. Will this work? Unfortunately no shift linkage or cross member with it but I'm getting desperate as I'd like to finish this project before it starts snowing!

The 4x4 shifter is in the proper position. The gear shifter is in neutral in the pic. When you try to shift to reverse the 4x4 shifter is blocking the gear shifter.

Any ideas anyone?
